  1. Problem is the skins tend to be tough and when you blend them they turn to chopped hay like fiber stuff. Flavor is great though but I would recommend blanching and taking the skin off…bit of a pain but better results.

  2. Given that the skins were not removed, I’d think blending would work best. It’s not impossible to remove the skins but it isn’t super easy with cherry tomatoes due to their size. My personal preference would definitely be to remove the skins.

  3. This is a very bad idea 💯🔥 because warehouses that make pasta sauce first remove the skins from the tomato because the skins on the tomato can act like little razor blades in your gut they damage the gut they and so this is a very bad idea especially since it's mostly skins!!

  4. I tried this. I sautéed the tomatoes in olive oil first, then in the oven, blended it, and I’m not going to lie….. the sauce from the store (premium $10 jar) was 100% better, AND costed less (for me) than the homemade version I made. Also, the skins did not properly blend, so there was the leafy, unchewable skins in it too. I’m never making homemade pasta sauce again lol

  5. Sono uno chef italiano con 35 anni di cucina e ti vorrei dare un consiglio: continua a cucinare in America, se ti capita di venire in Italia non cucinare perché faresti una pessima figura…

  6. Why do the shallots and the garlic have to be fine-minced if they are going to be smashed or blended after?

  7. What if you have all those ingredients but you don't have the extra bowl to pour the cherry tomatoes from one bowl to another?! Surely it won't taste the same. 😢
