  1. I've been in Perugia last year and i had good food but there is no lasagne in Umbria. I'm Swiss so we have enough italian food and we have one canton (Ticino) speaking only Italian. In Ticino we have grottos. 😉

  2. We will be spending 1 month in the Palermo District of Sicily next May, this information will be very helpful. Also, this past July I did receive my US/Italian dual citizenship.

  3. Always ask where the locals eat. That's the key.
Yeah, I was standing in a piazza in Trapani and this guy walked by me with a plate of food that smelled really good. When I asked where he got it he pointed to a small door in an alley. Yup, I went in and found the most outstanding involtini and arancino of my trip.

  4. Great video! Thanks. Two of the best places we found were random and located in a small town that happened to be on the way to a place we were going. The prices were 1/2 of what we paid in the tourist areas, the food was amazing and the staff as friendly and helpful as possible.

  5. My family is traveling to Italy next week. Thank you for these tips! It's our first time in Italy but we'll try to play it smart!

  6. Thanks for the tips. I'm going to Lake Como in a few weeks, can't wait to eat some authentic Italian food!

  7. Buon consiglio! Grazie Valentina.

Please correct me if there is anything wrong. Grazie mille. 🙂
