  1. Unfortunately I’m already Italian so I can’t implement any of those tips and my life cannot improve 😔💔

  2. No onion in tomato sauce is a symptom of shitty "high class" French and Italian cooking seeping into America and we must reject it.

  3. Why the hell would you not put onion in tomato sauce? What's next? You're not going to put garlic in it, either?

  4. I did recently make a tomato sauce with no garlic or onion, because a friend was allergic to both. Used decent quality canned tomatoes and cooked it for like 15 minutes with some olive oil, bay leaf, and a little fennel seed. Added some salt. Weirdly enough it tasted great. I finished it with some basil and cream but it would have been fine without it

  5. Two things I refuse to remove from my cooking, onions and garlic. You could make a case for removing onions and I'd listen, but not garlic.

  6. I never add onion or garlic to my sauce unless it’s a meat sauce i usually add it as a side you can put into the sauce for added texture and flavor
