Spicy Italian Style Vegetable Soup – Every region of Italy has a vegetable soup, yet each one is distinctly different. This recipe is from the region of Calabria, more specifically from an area called the Sangiovannese, which is well known for its cultivation and use of the peperoncino chili. That makes this one of my favorite winter soups – delicious and warming! @auricchio3074 #pecorino #pecorinoromano #locatelli #locatellicheese #LidiasRecipes #LidiasItaly #LidiasKitchen #LidiaBastianich #ItalianFood #FromLidiasTableToYours #LidiasSoundtrack

  1. That was very informative. I love making beans like the older people in my family did. But it was good to know about the salt. Thanks for sharing.🙏🏽🥗😋

  2. Can't find those 'little devils' here. No "Italian Calabrian" peppers.
Which would you recommend as a substitute?
I am with the others… NO day-old bread. Give me a big slice/chunk of good bread with the soup… MMMMMmmm!!!!

  3. My dad was from Calabria so he likes soups, hot 🥵 chilli 🌶️ peppers/ diavolicchio! I remember when I don’t want eat polenta, he always said; o questa minestra oppure fuori dalla finestra 🪟! I can’t forget that!! Thank you for sharing this video ❤

  4. If you add salt with the green veggies and then add water and beans.? Won't that work against the the beans toughness? I'm confused 🤔🤔🤔
