Having an insight to producers or even MGA is key
That Vietti is a blend of grapes from Barolo and Barbaresco so it can be neither. Also it has shorter maturation than what is required. Neverheless it's one heck of a wine for the price.
And the price for the Travaglini is pretty bonkers in US it seems :D. (I have -18 Riserva in my wine fridge still)

Love Vietti. visited them last June and thought all their Nebbiolos were great, but also their Barbera D’Alba, Roero Arneis, and Moscato d’Asti.
Have not had any of those, I have had a Vietti and I was not impressed, I am sure some of them are good but I haven't had one. I had a Traviglini Gattinara many years ago which was good and the price at the time was good. I am looking forward to a Paolo Scavino "Bricco Ambrogio next weekend so yes I like Nebbiolo.
rosset has a great high altitude chardonnay… probably better than the nebb
I could get the 15/17 Montefico for cheap but also even the 2012 Vajra Albe.

Amazing video! Wow! Haven't had a lot of Baroli so far but those I had were the best wines I had in my life. So glad to see a Langhe making it to the podium. Buying it now!

PA just released 2023 Vietti Barbera, Dolcetto, and the Nebbiolo from Langhe fro $20 each. I bought a bunch of each to cellar.
A Nebbiolo is a sometimes Barolo and a Barolo is always a Nebbiolo. And there a a lot of Barolos around 30 $.
I had a previous vintage of Perbacco, and thought it was really great. Better than almost all of the (admittedly cheap) Barolo and Barbaresco that I've had up to this point.
Here in Brazil I find some cheap Barolos and Barbarescos (usually priced like run-of-the-mill Chianti Classicos) and I'm always in doubt if I get'em (because I'm a nebhead) or not. Do you have any tips?

First of all congratulations for your super clear explanations, it's not simple to summarize so many things in just a few minutes!
I think you selected some very good producers and bottles, Perbacco I think is the best "simple" nebbiolo I've ever tasted (and I love Nebbiolo!)
I suggest you other two "simple" nebiolo, if you can find them, one is from Musso and the other one from Giuseppe Rinaldi, both super nice!
