One thing I have to confess โค normally I donโt really watch travel videos like this. But the first time I clicked on this channel was because of Jeffโs face on the thumbnail of ep 1โhe looked sooo adorable, super cute, and so charming. And yes, he really is that cute! I could listen to Jeff talk all day hahaha. But then, I started to like Mike too and wanted to check out more of their content. Heโs got such a good vibe and makes the channel so much fun.
If Jeff thinks being on a train for 15 hours is bad, have him go on an Amtrak from New York to Los Angeles. He will be on the train for DAYS.
Fantastic stopover in Venice (and a great treat to see more of the canals than most tourists get to see).
BTW, if you're still living in Hong Kong as your base, you may want to venture to the city of Suzhou which has many canals of its own as well as some beautiful gardens and is located very close to Shanghai!
P.S. Of course, what's also amazing about Venice is that it started out as a place in a swampy marsh where folks hid out from invaders but then they caught and salted eels for trade. Those salted eels proved so popular that in X # of centuries, they were essentially able to trade their huts on stilts for an entire city built on stilts! LOL
Thanks for this!
So much graffiti in Venice
Poor Jeff. I think you need to take your next intercontinental trip with someone else. The little guy is so strung out after the Europe to Africa trip and now this. I am waiting to see if he cracks up completely by the end, or if he'll just fall into a coma.
Learned quite a bit about Venice from this. For some reason I thought they had a few streets in town. Oops ๐คฆโโ๏ธ
I dont like Jeff as co host.
While waiting for the next episode, I spent time watching your travel across Canada with Will. I enjoyed each episode because you featured interesting information about culture in each province =- the people, the food and the interesting places. I watched your Arctic to Africa episodes with Jeff Cheng which were even more interesting because of the vibrancy of your friendship. Now with Jeff traveling with you to Asia, it seems you HAVE TO travel with Jeff again but spending more time in a country or city and getting immersed in with whatever can be found there. I love your banter. I hope youโll consider this suggestion.โค
Air traffic is so highly supported and train traffic so much more environmental friendly.
You are like me Jeff, I do the same thing as far as trying to justify what is logically more environmentally friendly. It breaks down to ones interpretation of adventure in life at your age, your time value, etc. I as a plumbing contractor am really curious how all the sewer pipes are run in Venice because here in Hilo Hawaii old building drains are compromised underground after being almost 100 years old. Sometimes while running a snake we poke through the paper thin iron on the bottoms and they are no doubt leaking into the ground everywhere although that isn't unhealthy as it gets filtered through the lava. But water is a different story. Aloha, Hilo Paul This was a magnificent video Mike, one of your best!
You guys are an iconic duo! Love this series! ๐ I hope you'll do more travelling together!
the plane flys for an hour and goes on to fly after that trip, the trains locked in for quite a wile
There are no overhead wires anywhere in this city. Where is all the phone wires, electrical, infrastructure to keep the town running? How could have folks back in the 16th century pounded enough poles to make a false bottom for this whole city? Google it, it's unbelievable. Are these boats gas or diesel? Where's the gas stations, where's the restrooms for tourists.
Awesome video!this is getting a like.
No way thereโs a Five Guys in the Milan train station ๐คฃ
I thought a "GONE-DOUGH-LAH" was a piece of low-level carrying bed used for cargo trains.
2:42 we had that train in the Netherlands, it was called the ''Fyra''. It was terrible and never worked properly. We sold them all.
YOU GUYS CHOSE THE WORST NEW HAIR STYLES, GROW THAT SHIT BACK !
You guys look like Harold and Kumaar now !
Got a bit fed uo with the comedy quips in the last video but this one no problem. I love the Youtube travellers making their content without the film crew and editors and the politics of the tv programmes. Been following you for a long time.
Ummmm Venice has an airport.
