Do you like meatballs? Then, have you tried Italian traditional meatballs? Polpette, or Italian Meatballs, is a dish based on finely chopped meat, vegetables, or fish, adding spices and flavorings, mixed in eggs and breadcrumbs. We especially like Polpette al sugo – Italian meatballs in tomato sauce.

Why don’t you serve these Italian meatballs with pasta, such as orecchiette, which is a pasta typical of Apulia, a region of Southern Italy, and Italian tomato passata! Watch this reel to the end, and don’t forget to save it!

🇬🇧 Ingredients:
Meatballs:
– 400 g of ground beef
– 200 g of ground pork
– 60 g of Parmigiano Reggiano
– 90 g of dry bread
– 250 ml of milk
– Parsley
– 2 eggs
– Salt
– Pepper

Pasta with meatballs:
– 400 ml of Italian tomato passata
– 150 g of orecchiette
– Half of an onion
– Half of a carrot
– A stalk of celery

🇫🇷 Ingrédients:
Boulettes de viande:
– 400 g de boeuf haché
– 200 g de porc haché
– 60 g de Parmigiano Reggiano
– 90 g de pain sec
– 250 ml de lait
– Persil
– 2 œufs
– Sel
– Poivre

Pâtes aux boulettes de viande :
– 400 ml de passata italienne
– 150 g d’orecchiette
– La moitié d’un oignon
– La moitié d’une carotte
– Une branche de céleri

Recipe:
1.Pour the milk into stale bread. Soak it in milk.
2. In a large bowl, add ground beef and pork. Season them with salt and pepper. Add the Parmigiano Reggiano cheese, chopped parsley, and 2 eggs. Mix the ingredients with your hands.
3. Now, drain and squeeze the stale bread. Add it to the bowl and mix it well.
4. Shape it into meatballs to the desired size, depending on your preference.
5. Heat the olive oil in a large pan over low heat. Add the chopped onion, celery, and carrot, and cook them for a few minutes.
6. Add the meatballs to the pan. Let it brown a bit. Pour tomato passata into the pan.
7. Meanwhile, bring a pot of salted water to a boil. When the water in the pot starts boiling, add the pasta. When the pasta is ready, bring it to the pan. Add a ladle full of cooking water to your sauce.
8. Shake the pan back and forth, flipping the pasta over on itself.
