IIRC Portugal is the only continental European Country that uses the time zone of the United Kingdom, with the rest of them all use the time zone of Paris and Berlin. This had always been pretty funny to me.

Very cool. But you could have saved yourself a lot of trouble by going to Istanbul 😊 A couple minute train (or ferry) ride between the two halves of the city.
