TGV between Nice and Marseiile are not high speed
2:43 any update on Nox Mobility (railway)
There are no more places left for the remainder of the summer for the wagon lits, only couchettes 😢
Although it's marketed as a luxury service, I firmly believe that these amenities ought to be the baseline for any night train operator, even Thibault's own Nox Mobility, should aim for. Comfortable beds, classic styling, a restaurant car that offers wholesome fresh cooked meals. This is everything a proper night train should be. My only critiques are the lackluster schedule (once weekly and only for the summer season? On such a popular underserved route?), though I would expect much of that to be down to a lack of suitable rolling stock; hopefully if these Espresso services continue to succeed Trenitalia will refurbish more cars to add to the fleet and thus allow for more frequent and longer lasting routes.
Aside from that, literally my only complaint is that the branding on the complementary fan is rather uninspired and generic. Other than that, perfect, no notes!
Question: how does a train tha is once a week for a couple weeks a year get marketed? Does it get loaded into Trenitalia and other reservation sites so if you ask for Rome-Marseilles this train pops up if you ask for Rome-Marseilles on one of the few days it runs? Or do they have totally different booking site for "train vacations" that people actively seek out (much the same way rich people seek out the orient express or cruise lines to see what they are offering that summer). Even for a new daily train that runs all year, it takes time for people to learn of its existence if it is a night train and there was never a night train before. Am curious if passengers using the train as the vacation, or if there is origin-destination demand all year round that would justify such overnight service?
This train appears to be managed by someone who understands train travel, not some accountants from an airline. It shows that where there is a will there is often a way.
Who are you and what have you done with our Thibaud? The real Thibeau NEVER gives a thumbs up on pillows because he is really picky 🙂
MAX SPEED ?
Your information is very nice because your channel is great. But my channel poor.
I usually detest modern architecture, but Roma Termini is actually quite beautiful. Dulles airport in Washington DC shares the same style ethos.
I so want to ride this train. On the to-do list for next summer now. Great video as ever👍
Congrats on the new gig, Thibault
Wow!
there isn't any country like Italy !!!!
Great video of a lovely classy train If you want to be nostalgic what a great way to do Rome Marseille when i worked on the mini bar service on some of the routes we did we went down to cannes or st Raphaël where you got off if i'm not mistaken 😂but we would returned to valence same day (left valence about 13h arrived back after midnight) 😅😅 that was when night trains stopped in valence to change crew on some of them the others would pass valence and change crew in Lyon 😂
On croit rever !
Will this train be running also on summer 2026?
Es macht den Eindruck dass man hier reist, eine Reise macht und nicht nur transportiert wird. Das ist sehr gut, beachtenswert. Danke 😅😅😅
Un long interview de Thibaud Constant sur le canal de Hourrail! (en français).
Le titre en anglais: "He tested all the night trains in Europe: from the worst to the best! "
My beautiful Italy 🥰🇮🇹
At 11:00 you passed the Borghetto Santo Spirito Station, that's where I have spent for some of last years the holidays with my family in the magnificent Liguria. This is an incredible train journey which connects two fantastic countries 🇮🇹🇫🇷✨
179 euros for 2 meals, a breakfast and 900km journey on a sleeping car.. really well priced
Great. I'll do this this winter. Inshallah
Excellent video Thib…:):):)
I absolutely love your videos! I watch your videos on my tv (can't comment when I do that, though), and your camera work and video is terrific and sharp. I was wondering: what is the deal with all the suitcases and shoes and other belongings in the hallways. They are narrow as it is, and this is truly rude and disrespectful to others. On top of that, there are so many people just loitering in the hallways of the sleeper cars and elsewhere or just sitting on a suitcase or on their phone. MOVE OUT OF THE WAY. They don't even seem to care that you are going by (or care about anyone). Plus, what was with that completely rude cafe car hostess. She was coming out of the food car area with a tray (~@16:32) and as soon as you came in, she made this nasty face, as if she was disgusted that you deigned to walk in her hallway. I know you're a sweetheart, but are all Europeans this rude to one another? I get everyone seems to hate Americans (I am almost embarrassed to travel abroad for the looks I am sure to get as an American), and lord knows it seems ridiculously and horrifyingly acceptable to disrespect and attack Jews these days (I give up on this world, I think), but European crime on their own is sad! Also, just as sad are the horribly and equally rude comments in this comment section. Just because you CAN write something mean, doesn't mean you should. Keep your thoughts in your head if you can't be positive or nice. I get not everything is perfect and it is acceptable to tell someone if they are mistreating you or being mean or rude or displaying poor behavior or service, but geez.
