  1. Italians will never make their pasta soft to accommodate your tastes. Al dente is religion for them.

  2. The arrogance of not trusting chefs in one of the most food obsessed countries in the world. Concerned for your safety in front of a perfect Fiorentina? Come on…

  3. Uyen I'm so sorry you didn't ask for greens in restaurants! I'm from tuscany and if I order a florentine steak on the side I'd ask for cicoria or cime di rapa, or erbe di campo, all of which are extremely tasty leafy greens, most of them wild, and I think you'd have enjoyed them a lot!

  4. coff coff when they give a good quality oil with bread in a restaurant, there is no need to add salt 'cause it modifies the flavor of the oil coff coff

  5. If tourist traps mean I could have a picture of every dish on the menu, then honestly I want to visit the tourist traps. 😅 I love seeing the food when choosing what to eat.

  6. it’s so weird seeing you in the places i usually go through😂 gave me whisplash. hope u had a wonderful time uyen❤

  7. Credo che siano andati in uno di quei pseudo-locali italiani nella galleria di fronte alla stazione di Bologna. Non c'è cosa peggiore, aiuto.

  8. Uyen😂! Love ya girlie girl! I can tell you enjoyed the eggplant parmesano & that beef steak w/ potatoes. You're so precious, wanting soft pastas in Italy 😅. I liked Italian food when I visited Venice, but German food has my heart! Schnitzels, kroquetten, zwiebeln & goulaschen soups, brats, spaetzle, Johannes bier, ect
    ….

  9. Hi Uyen, when you went to Italy, did you guys use a tour? we are trying to book an 8 day trip flying into Rome

  10. you took us your audience to tourist places , and stop saying soft pasta. don't eat pasta if you don't like it. By the way go to southern Italy for real hole in the wall food.

  11. Do u get pay by your videos ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

  12. First impression…surprised that the graffiti was going to be the first thing shown (usually we see all of the picturesque scenery first). Funny when you showed that menu I thought it looked very American, I thought “tourist trap”😅 I loved this video, hopefully I’ll be there this fall, so I can try these foods for myself.

  13. Girl as Italian in Germany if it happens to you to be in Mannheim go to "Rosso Vivo". That's so expensive (like 3 times than in Naples) but it's really authentic:)))

  14. I have never been to Italy. Some of the food looked very good for me, especially the rosemary potatoes. I still think you do our German food injustice. But today good German restaurants are hard to find. Some days ago I did a trip to the Spreewald and we really had great food which was traditional and on point. The meat (wild boar), the vegetables, the Knödel – all of it was great!

  15. Un altro consiglio facile per gli stranieri in Italia, è quello di evitare le zone centrali molto turistiche!
Andare a mangiare preferibilmente dove ci sono clienti italiani e non stranieri!

  16. I love your long form video! I'm happy that you seem to have had a good time in Italy!

if you ever come by again you have to pass by the "food valley", you can even schedule tours in caseifici and salumifici if you're interested!

another fun thing about Italy (and food) is that during early summer/autumn there are a lot of "sagre", they're like small festivals about the city food speciality, food there can be really good… or just fine. 😂
