This is near to the center of the city. We checked the menu previously and was in a mood to taste the pastas like Ravioli and Tortelloni for the first time. And the evergreen Tiramisu.

RAVIOLI

The word “ravioli” comes from the Italian word “riavvolgere”, which means “to wrap,” which is a very fitting name for this pasta shape. If you aren’t familiar, ravioli is the most common filled pasta, typically made by layering two sheets of pasta dough over dollops of various fillings, and then sealing and cutting the edges to form little pockets of goodness. There are lots of shapes and variations to ravioli, but most often you’ll find them in squares with fluted edges. They also come in little half moons called “mezzalune” which are adorable. Ravioli potentially originated in Sicily, but some also say its origins are in northern Italy. Ravioli is kind of a catchall for whatever sauce or filling you want, and I’ve seen some really unique dishes throughout Italy, from lamb and sage, to truffle and spinach, to good old ricotta and tomato sauce.

TORTELLINI & TORTELLONI

Tortellini is one of the most popular pasta in italy. It has a near-twin: tortelloni. They look very similar, and are both filled pastas like ravioli, but tortelloni are larger and closed differently than tortellini. Another difference between the two is that tortelloni is typically only filled with cheese, and tortellini will have different fillings of meat, cheese, veggies, and more. A good way to remember the difference (based on size) is that tortellini ends with the suffix -ini, which means “little” (and sounds like “teeny”).

TIRAMISU

A recipe disputed between Tuscany, Veneto and Friuli, tiramisu is another dessert famous throughout the world. Ladyfingers, mascarpone and coffee make the cake a true cross-section of Italianness, an energetic but digestible dessert, fresh but also suitable for winter, classy but easy to prepare. A true evergreen of Italian cuisine.

I have started creating and uploading videos here, only because of capturing the moments with some details. Otherwise every time I change my phone , I lose all those videos. I have lost many, or they are kept unnoticed at the corner. So this is kind of a video diary. I am not here to be popular, rather it is the best medium for free storage and sharing easy links with my friends and relatives. There are a lot of people with a lot of problems, who cannot travel , for lack of money, lack of time, lack of health, so somehow if they get inspired by this, it will be an add on benefit for me. I always feel that three dimensions of life are Time, Health and Money. We should always be grateful if we have those. Live life happily using those 3 tools.

I am a software engineer by profession and a traveller by passion. I have already worked with organizations like Cognizant, IBM, Accenture, Gamesys, Ballys, Onprocess Tech, Data42, Philip Morris Intl etc. From diff locations. I travel using my job or better to say I do a job for travel. I was lucky that I could blend my profession with my passion.I have a dream to visit all the countries of the world, all the corners of the world.
