I eat at and review Bad Roman in Midtown Manhattan of New York City. Bad Roman is a popular Italian restaurant that serves a number of unique courses such as a filet mignon topped with a massive raviolo filled with a liquid cacio e pepe. I found out if Bad Roman lived up to the hype or if it was merely a gimmick.

  1. We know you have a great pallet… So the question is..did anyone in the kitchen taste that martini?and if yes, did they think it was good?

  2. Lesson of the video: everything on Instagram is not what it seems lol. That lemon cheesecake dessert looks bomb though. 😋

  3. Yet again, I must applaud your incredibly well-balanced reviews, as manifest one more time during your visit to Bad Roman. Here, the challenges are considerable, but you negotiate each with striking candor and unwavering acumen. Paradoxically enough, you helped me better understand my own somewhat perplexing and muddled reaction to a recent evening at this very destination. Thank you, James, for bringing insight and clarity to every culinary experience. No mean feat!

Side-bar: Your review led me to reflect upon my favorite Italian restaurants in NYC, where splendid options abound. I still rank Carbone, L'Artusi and Via Carota as top-tier. Any thoughts concerning these three spots? Sincere thanks — again. Doc

  4. Those ribs look divine and the desert, woah!
I just saw “where chefs eat” and have a suggestion for you. Gorgeous restaurant called “Huso”, Michelin starred inside? Marky’s Caviar in TriBeCa.

  5. That drink looks like fuel for an Outboard Motor lol, either way great review, interesting restaurant that's for sure.

  6. Vodka, sewer water, and battery acid. If you like martinis, try a gin martini made with Monkey 47, a gin made in the Black Forest region of Germany, very aromatic, no sewer water.

  7. Bad Roman seems very gimmicky. Glad you liked the steak and pasta. Very surprised you didn't complain to your waiter about the terrible drink. Why did you pay $22 for a drink you hate that much? It's ok to speak up, as a paying customer you should.

  8. Whhhhyy would you keep the cocktail and pay $22 for it? Any restaurant would have taken the cocktail back and taken it off your bill.

  9. I look forward to Mondays the food looked great but that drink no way I love you and your videos ❤❤❤😊😊😊😊
