Season 7 comes to a close with more sausage chat than we possibly expected… This week we’re joined by British actress Sophie Turner!

Entering the spotlight as a teenager for her role as the steely Sansa Stark in the worldwide TV phenomenon, Game of Thrones. Sophie has gone on to star more recently as jewel thief Joan Hannington in Joan, her first lead role, and is due to star in Steal, a heist thriller and the horror film, Trust.

We kick things off at the counter with a crisp St-Germain Hugo Spritz (made by Sophie) and quickly settle down to experience a Peperami chaser. For the main course, Angela delivers Sophie’s dream dishes in the form of cheesy lemon spaghetti and tomato salad with burrata and basil oil, accompanied by a glass of Pouilly-Vinzelles Joseph Drouhin.

This episode feels like the ultimate season finale with the studio in fits of laughter and our trio hitting all the important foodie questions: Should pasta water be as salty as the sea?; Can there be a correct way to eat a Peperami? Is spaghetti and gravy ever acceptable? What is clear though is that for all Sophie lacks in cooking skills, she makes up for in her passion for good food. Just don’t ask her to explain the Game of Thrones plot…

  1. I’ve admired Angela and her cooking for years. Someday I hope to visit the UK and her restaurant, Murano. This is the only podcast I watch faithfully every week! Looks delicious 👏👏👏

  2. So simple yet it’s a Michelle star dish. That means you can do it too!!!! Have faith watchers who don’t cook. You got this. ❤

  3. Yum. Can't wait for tomato season to come back round. Definitely making cheesy lemony spaghetti this week. Winter here in Australia.

  4. I love that she caters to what the guests actually like (in an elevated, delicious way) instead of trying to shame picky eaters into pretending to want gourmet.

  5. I've been watching Angela since she first appeared in the original Boiling Point documentary….. wonderful chef & I feel as akin as I'm the same age and a female engineer….hard in a man's world – you have to be twice as good! Gordon loved her work ethic tho x

  6. Those are real homegrown tomatoes! You can tell when the insides aren’t perfectly symmetrical. Homegrown tomatoes are the best, they’re sweet in like a savoury way and taste good with everything.

  7. My Nonna used to make this and I have never seen a recipe I could properly follow. The cheesy lemon pasta.
