We make vlogs, not travel guides. We don’t film everything we see or do. Our videos cannot tell every story or show every place we visit. Our videos are merely a short snippet of sometimes a week’s worth of life on the road and it’s intended to show our experience as full-time travelers. As we’re constantly on the move it’s also not always possible to take the time to research every single location. Best wishes for your health Andrè.
I hope you can get well soon, Andre. It’s actually good you now have a permanent home to be in. When things like this happens. Denmark can wait. I just spend 4 weeks on The Danish island of Samsoe. I was hoping to show you around my favorite island this summer. Got some shorts from the past weeks from there on my YouTube . But health comes first. And your place and region seems to be very beautiful. So I hope it doesn’t get even hotter. Take care and get well😊🙏🏻☀️
Get well soon Andre and enjoy Italy your living the dream
La salute al primo posto Andrè. Hai una splendida moglie e ciò è tutto.
I'm so happy you are back been 🎉waiting for you 💕 💗
Very best to you both. We are sure it will work out for the best, so enjoy your lovely new home, and it is great to see the local area you live in so splendid. Love the DIY videos and just the daily routine. Health is always first and the rest will follow so take it handy. We are now 8 weeks on the road in our campervan and lighting and high winds in Bergamo tonight. Savona area is our next stop. Hope we meet you in passing in the future. Keep good the both of you. Brian & Jen.
Take care of yourself Andre. I hope you are coping with the heatwave in Europe at the moment? Maybe construct a pergola on the roof that has shade cloth over the top. It will also help to keep your roof cooler during summer, and provide shad in the afternoons. Create a shade cloth wall on the western side for much more shade. Stu
Andre sorry to hear this but take care of yourself first 💜 and get well soon 😊
Hopefully Andre you will find out the source of your health issues and they are minor and manageable. Stay strong.
Enjoy your time in your new lovely home.
Organic Dark chocolate 🙂
So sorry to hear this, I hope you get better soon and can do what you love best again ❤
Hi guys, Greetings from Finland.André health comes first, take care.
The problem probably is "insufficienza venosa" ….if you move to much especially overworking your muscles it makes it worse…and if you move to little under working them that makes it worse as well……..just keep fairly well toned but dont over do it, you need to make those veins buckle up and that circulation work normally and not stress it………..your disease is not strange at all, it exists since the existance of mankind….its called old age creeping in, welcome to the club young man but its something you can live with quite normally…………….are you getting grumpy as well..mmmmmm?…thats the second sign, that would be a real issue for poor Lisa to learn to handle….thats part of it as well…… the tourists point of view on the italian summer or wonter climate is that it is lovely (for approx. a 2 weeks holiday in summer) but learning to live in Italy for a whole summer is totally another story., one last thing..i did not see any blue pills so consider yourself lucky young man.!!!
The wife and I are the same as you guys but in France and we have had our home for 12 years The van is 22 years old etc, We found that during summer we don't do any long trips in the van due to weather, to many people (tourists , Children off school) and working on the house, doing the garden and enjoying the local area (so going north like Denmark etc is not something we do anymore) also enjoying local friends we have. So after 12 years it's strictly going south mostly to Spain/Portugal in the winter as it not to far away for us, although we did go to Greece last winter.
We find that the expense is not really noticeable because what we spend on fuel to get to the bottom of Spain equals what we would buy in wood and electric to heat the house plus the wife spends more when she is out with her friends but don't tell her I said that 🙂 Good luck with everything guys, best wishes from sunny and hot South of France.
So sorry to hear about Andres new discovered condition. First when I saw the title and then those few clips, I was afraid of the worst – any serious heart problem. What else could it be and so sudden for someone who lived such a healthy life. Finally at the end of the video, the half bad news – CVI condition. I am always a negative optimist. I always expect the worst but hope for the best. I am 67 and also take bunch of supplements and been taking many different ones (one at the time) until I found out which work and which dont. I singled out 3 most important ones working for me and in this particular order: Zink (30mg a day) Copper (2mg a day) just because high dose of Zink can deplete copper from the body, and vitamin K2 which should send calcium into bones instead of building it in the blood stream and clogging it. So, IMO K2 can play an important role in your case too. Of course I also take Apple cider tablets, Vitamin C and Magnesium daily but not religiously daily like the first 3.
But one thing is most important, not to believe in one bullet solution. You can look after your health to the smallest detail and only ending as the healthiest corps in the whole graveyard when you die as we are all destine to.
Also you have to look at the positive side. How lucky you are you found out of this condition after you finally settled down in your new home and sorted it out almost completely. Imagine if you found out about it while you were in Denmark or Bosnia or somewhere else in your previous trips. At least you have a beautiful place near the sea you can really enjoy fully as you made it the best you can for your own requirements. OK maybe an urgent AC installation is to be pushed onto priority list but most of it is done.
We wish you a rapid recovery and whatever the future brings to you, you left behind so much material, even if you dont make another mile with Millie you will forever stay our favorite nomad traveler.
Hi there! Those "hairs" you found while doing that plumbing work is hemp, it is still used instead of the modern Teflon to help sealing, in the past it was the only way.
About the major setback, well, my mam has had this for about 30 years (rare insufficient blood circulation condition) in her legs and she's 91 now (the specialist says it is more common with people who smoke or smoked alot, not the case but) and I suspect I might have it since the lower part of my legs (from calves area to ankle) feel heavy/hurt mostly at night and feet tend to be cold. There might be different types, I don't know.
Anyway, let's see what doctors tell you and what can be done. Guess they will make sure your heart pumps the right way, your arteries and veins aren't clogged or too thin/narrow and your blood isn't too thick. It's a bit of a set back as you say but health is first.
You'll see how things will work work fine and thank goodness you're and active person and you keep fit. Can't wait to see the next video! Kisses and hugs to both.
PS: Enjoy your home and beach! And why not… perhaps some mini trips nearby.
So sorry to hear André. Enjoy the stunning beaches! We will catch up soon.
Definitely "this was not the plan"…but 👋👋 hey…who knows…. maybe it's for the best!!!!!
Stretching exercises in general and particularly for your legs, Toe stretches, like toe curls and toe splaying
Resting with your legs up the wall, also known as the Viparita Karani pose (Lisa may know it)… well nothing hard– :)))- while you make a break reading…..just lift your legs up the wall with a small pillow under your lumbar area and let your legs rest for at least 30min (afternoon and evening)
Make at least 2 a day-tapping of your legs and toes: Use your cupped hand to lightly tap different areas of your legs.(rhythmically tapping the front-back-outer sides-and-inner sides of the legs, moving from the hips down to the ankles) it's a technique rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine ( we can recommend you some of these safe and proven tips as we are certified in TCM and practicing in Hong Kong private clinic besides our western medical degree and practice)
And of course daily swimming…it's totally a must!!!!
You may try to incorporate some specific leg exercises from TaiChi after your jogging and before swimming!!! Let Lisa as a yoga practitioner find for you some yoga stretching exercises for legs and supervise you on doing them daily!!!!
We say – there is nothing better than to enjoy the moment….even without Denmark this year…. you'll have time to focus more on yourself!!!!
Stay positive and of course take it easy!!!! ❤❤❤
Love you both!!!!
Well that is a bummer for you to have to change your plans – but how great that you have such a lovely base to settle in while this health issue plays out. Thanks for sharing this in the way you did today – your authenticity is appreciated – and I really hope your health issue is resolved for you before too long. 🤞🫂
Although Denmark is off the table have you considered alternatives that don’t require a lot of driving. For example, take a ferry from Civitavecchia, Italy to Barcelona Spain. Drive from Barcelona to Spanish Atlantic coast about 2 days. We recently returned from a week in Oviedo with side trips to Aviles and Gijon. Weather was comfortable, prices very fair and the scenery was beautiful. If you crave colder weather then take the ferry from Santander, Spain to Rosslare, Ireland. Prior to Spain we were in Ireland and it was definitely cold but the people were warm and welcoming.
Wishing you all the best Andre that your health goes back to being really good. Relax and enjoy both of you the hot beaches in Italy. Freezing in Western Cape.
Sorry to hear your news, sending positive thoughts your way. We love watching your vlogs but you need to focus on your health and getting well.
If you ever pass by and want to stay in Le Marche on your travels my new house is open now and there is also space for Millie in the big cantina.
Casa Doris, Montecarotto, Le Marche
Enjoy summer just where you are. If you miss Dk to much, take a flight, rent a car, stay for 1-2 weeks….you do not have to drive all the Way.
Health comes first in our book, you certainly don't hang about twiddling thumbs although we have witnessed Lisa relaxing in the hammock, no matter what you two do it'll be entertaining
Aish sorry to hear the bad news guys . As you say do what you have to do 👏👏
Andre, COnsider some yoga. As Certified Massage Therapists my husband and I conitually have to look after pinched nerves which impinge and can cause problems like you are having. I know Italy doesn't have Certified Massage Therapist tyhat have training in the muscles but you might find an American there to help you. In the meantime sending lots of love nad light to the both of you!

Why don't you take your creatine in powder form? 100 percent creatine, without excipients and surely cheaper?

A little trip into the Dolomites? Lovely and fresh and not too far.
Bless you folks 🙏 enjoy the moments of chill time in-between the ongoing DIY projects 😀
My wife and me haven't got any friends in Denmark, we don't own a van, and we even don't like long trips on the road … What do we do instead? We go to the mountains, just an hour and a half (or 2 1/2 , or 5 hours to different mountains) from where we live and we are saved from the summer heat, mosquitos, dry land and yellow grass … A 35 sqm apartment, very modern and fully equipped costs us 30 euros per day.
If we had a beach for ourselves minutes from home we wouldn't probably look for anything better.
Everything is going to be al right!! ❤
godetevi il mare e la vita della Puglia
un abbraccio dalla Sardegna
Hi , you two ! Andre , Im sure you will get your health in check again and fast. We have been following your channel since you had less than 4k subs I think.
Its funny we are Danes and cant get enough of Italy😂 , we are currently in the 2nd week of our summer vacation , and its our 3d trip down here this year. We wont be really retired for at least a couple of years. We will probably return in september again. We understand about the heat in the summer , this time we stayed north , and it has been excellent😊
Would like to meet up just for a hello and a coffee in Denmark some day ! You are among our favorite people on Youtube.
Take care !
