In this episode, I hosted a lovely German couple in my kitchen while they were filming for a documentary about Istanbul, soon to air on German television.
While preparing a traditional Turkish breakfast with menemen, I also turned the camera on them to ask what they think about Turkey—its food, people, and culture.
It was their first time experiencing a full Turkish breakfast, and we had a warm conversation about everything from Turkish hospitality to how döner kebab differs in Germany and Turkey.
🎥 Topics we talked about:
– What Germans think about Turkish cuisine 🇹🇷
– Their impressions of Istanbul and Turkish people
– German vs. Turkish döner 🍖
– Trying Turkish breakfast for the first time
– Reflections on the economy & travel in Turkey

Have you ever shared Turkish breakfast with a foreign guest?
Wonderful video full of warmth, great food, and interesting discussion! Thank you
Merhaba ❤
💯🌟mashaAllah..another amazing vlog…the warmth, the cuisine..the hospitality ❤ ❤….you are indeed a lovely lady.. love 🤲💕duaas 🇹🇷turkiye …from south africa. 🇿🇦
They like "German doner" more. That is just Turkish doner, but adapted to local preferences. Turkish Dutch doner is also slightly different because of the sauces that they add. Funny how a dish can have so many variations when it travels the world.
Assalamulikum, I love your channel. Thank you for sharing sister. Would you share some markets, bazaar to buy Abaya and scarfs at reasonable price. Thank you🥰
Love this episode, it made me chuckle a bit as I definitely can relate with your two guests. I am German and grew up in an apartment building with two Turkish families, their kids were my play buddies, and we visited each other's home often, so I got my first taste of Turkish home cooking early in life and it was amazing. And yes, I also often have a German Doner Kebab, that has become part of my regular diet 🙂 I've also been to Istanbul just this month with my wife and I absolutely agree with the impressions of both of them, the life and vibrance I could feel in the streets and everywhere. It is one of the most beautiful cities that I have seen with its rich culture and amazing history. If I may say I instantly fell in love with Istanbul to the point that leaving after a few days felt like someone tearing a piece of my heart out. I got myself a Cezve and Çaydanlık as souvenirs and we are making Turkish tea and coffee part of our daily routines at home now. I am glad I came across your channel, so I can also try cooking some of the amazing dishes so thanks a lot 🙂
Yummy ❤❤❤❤
What a great video! A wonderful visit with the German couple & breakfast looks yumm.
🇹🇷😋👍
Lovely to watch 😍
Original Menemen has no cheese
Lovely video 👏👏 breakfast is my prefer meal, almost doesnt rxist in Spain 😢
❤️❤️❤️❤️
3:30 But we must get this point.. When you call German Döner, it sounds like that döner belongs to Germany.. You can say that "Turkish doner which made in Germany" Because At Germany also, Doner chefs are all Turkish chefs.. It's not your culture, It is our culture that has migrated to Germany. :)) <3 These two are different things..It's not a part of German Culture. It's part of inovative Turkish chefs' culture at Germany.. :)) <3
My favourite part was the Athan in the background at the end!!!
A true Ambassador for Turkiye
❤️🌹
This uncle never gets tired while eating maşallah 🥸🥸
I make the best menemen 😄
Today i watch your video. Love your beautiful video. Because i went to Australia my family holidays. Take care Always 😊❤❤
So cute people ❤
I am going to make some menemen! Best menemen is made if you put 100 mililiter watter and let the water veparet under low heat. so all the ingridens combine much better. after this you can add cheas 🙂
Excellent excellent … This is the best interview you did so far … May Allah bless you to show more of goodness to those visitors …
Neden Türkçe çeviri yok
These full blown breakfasts are not Turkish traditional breakfasts. Traditional Turkish breakfasts contain a rather simple menu such as olives, cheese butter and jam. The rest of them are invented by restaurants for the Tourist attraction.
Menemende asla peynir olmaz. Aşçının kendi yorumudur.
Almanlar döner bizim demeye basladi yakinda kahvaltida bizim derler
Thank you for another very helpful video😊😊😊😊 I was surprised by their idea breakfast compared to your idea of breakfast, blessings to you and yours
My favorite was the Chicken and Avocado Salad… it looks great!!!!
The mmming from this couple made me laugh..when food makes people musical😊❤ Aysenur is the best..and her humility comes from her faith!
