Comment “recipe” for the best Sunday Sauce & Meatballs! 🍅✨

This sauce is a true Italian masterpiece, starting with a hearty base of flavorful sausage and tender boneless pork. The combination infuses the sauce with an unparalleled richness that makes every bite unforgettable.

The secret? Let it simmer low and slow, allowing the meat to impart its savory goodness into the sauce. As it cooks, I add San Marzano tomatoes, fresh herbs, and a splash of red wine to elevate the flavor profile. Serve it over your favorite pasta, and don’t forget to add those mouthwatering meatballs! This dish is sure to bring everyone to the table for a warm, hearty meal.

Buon Appetito! 🇮🇹

This sauce is the heart of every Italian meal, simmered low and slow for rich, deep flavor. I start with San Marzano tomatoes, fresh herbs, and a splash of red wine to elevate the taste.

The secret? Let it bubble away for hours, allowing all those incredible flavors to meld together. Serve it over your favorite pasta or use it as a base for my beloved meatballs. Trust me, this sauce will warm your heart and home.

  1. Yes my nonna use to cut up a pork butt, Italian sausage and her meatballs and drop them right in her sauce and cooked it on low That was our Sunday sauce. We had a different recipe for a quickie weeknight marinara.
