Today, Jane and Ann Esselstyn are whipping up a game-changing oil-free Italian dressing—and it comes with a heartwarming backstory from Jane’s unforgettable trip to Alaska! ❄️

This bold, tangy, herby dressing was inspired by a meal Jane had at an event hosted by the amazing Winona from Nourished Health Coaching Services. It left such a lasting impression that she’s been dreaming of it ever since—and now she’s sharing it with you! 💚

✨ What’s in the Dressing?

Aquafaba (liquid from canned chickpeas!)

Fresh lemon juice 🍋

White wine vinegar

White miso

Maple syrup 🍁

Garlic

Nutritional yeast

Herbs like oregano, basil, parsley, and black pepper 🌿

It’s oil-free, creamy, savory, and punches you in the face in a good way (Wade’s words 😄). Great for salads, dipping fresh veggies, or even drizzling over pasta.

  1. I love these premiers! I don’t catch every single one of them but the wait and countdown at the beginning of the video are exciting! 😄

  2. This is going to be delicious in my next bean salad! Have been looking for a take on Italian dressing. Aqua faba for body is a great idea.

  3. 1/2 c aquafaba; 1/8 c white wine vinegar; 1/4 c lemon juice; 1 T maple; 1 1/2 T miso; 2 1/2 garlic; 2 T nooch, 1/2 t (each) oregano, basil, pepper (opt) salt; 2 T fresh parsley

  4. If you use an emersion blender, your aquafaba will thicken to the consistency you like. They use aquafaba to make vegan merengue.

  5. I noticed you using a Ninja Creami container to hold your aquafaba. Does this mean you have one, and if so, do you have any good healthy recipes for ice cream?

  6. Jane, I know you skipped the salt, but can you reveal how much salt for your halved recipe? 🫤 I have Addison's Disease and have to eat salt, because my body has a very hard time holding on to it. Thank you.

  7. Looks yummy! Thank you, Winona and Jane. 👏🏼 Jane, why are you using your Ninja Creami ice cream container for aqua faba storage?! Make us some ice cream!🍦

  8. Somebody else can cut up just a cucumber for me and it’s the best thing ever. Thanks for the recipe Winona! I will have to get over my negative feelings about aquafaba! Is it for the taste or as a thickener?
