I live in Germany but I order Parmesan once a year. 2.5 kg, 36 months old, from a producer in Italy. Always in one piece.
It is a huuuuge difference in taste. Italians know how to cook and how to produce high quality products.
You can compare it with Champagne. Also very regional and only are certain area can call sparkling wine champagne. 🍾
still haven't tried real parm cheese. would be ok with the Wisconsin equivalent even
