I almost didn’t recognize him with a Knorr Stock Pot! 😬
Great with rice and fresh chili salsa
Looks good
Dont forget to soak them, ideally overnight.
Mongo!!!!
lol wtf
Add sausage or hot links and bacon
Gordon learned from an expert
You can tell he's the one who taught Gordon for sure. They talk so alike
No Knorr stockpot?
Chef: "Lentils under used."
Me (an Indian): lol 😂
Isn't this the guy Gordon Ramsey learned from?
En Argentina amamos el guiso de lenteja
I can't stand chefs saying "It's that simple" after adding so many ingredients like this. It's arrogant and dismissive of most people's kitchens. Most people won't have 1/3 of this because they're not making gourmet meals every night like this guy does.
Simple is French bread. All-purpose flour, salt, yeast, water. Bake in a butter or flour lined loaf pan at 375f. Done.
THAT is simple.
Hes the david attenborough of cooking narration
To be honest I can think of quite a few ways that are way better than that. He is the master but im also from a country were that is eaten often and im not impressed
And I was excited until I realized it's food from the UK
so not only do i need all of the olive oil in the world, i found the original national geographic commentator. and honestly, i'm not even mad about it
This is the guy who "taught" Gordon Ramsay and as a thank you, Gordon Ramsay tried to "destroy" his business.
his palate is olive oil
In the full length video, he literally puts like a liter of olive oil in there to begin with. Then during the cooking process he adds more olive oil, and then to finish it, you guessed it, more olive oil.
Very good point, we all hate it when the lentils have too much resistance, those little buggers
❤
Looks good but I think it could use 2 shots of vodka
One of the most overrated chefs shoved down into our faces, fk you BBC
The idea that olive oil is a great flavor is bullshit. Make the same thing with no olive oil and tell me the taste difference explain that.
He forgot the olive oil 😡
Alright popeye….calm the olive oil down a bit….I've only just done the big shop
Every time a chef says “a little bit of olive oil” I assume it’s a metric ton
Lived on them as a student.
So simple, so good.
That's more or less how we cook them in Greece.
Then i drown them in vinegar and dig in.
Do you really need the calories of the dish to be atleast 40% fat calories ?
Just cut the olive oil, use vinegar and some mustard and some flour and you got yourself a nice Swabian dish called :Linsen und Spätzle
fun fact, onions are edible and nutritious, try chopping them up and leaving them in the final dish if your not a fan of throwing good food, because despite Marco trying to gas light you, they had so much to give! also a little seasoning in the same way the dead sea has a little seasoning.
