I eat at and review Emilio’s Ballato along Houston Street in the Nolita neighborhood of New York City. The Italian restaurant was founded in 1956 by John Ballato but was taken over by Emilio Vitolo in the 1980s. Emilio’s Ballato serves classic Italian American cuisine and is also very popular with celebrities.

  1. James in LA every restaurant , car wash , laudromat , out house , hoe house 🏡, , car shop etc has celebs pictures . Its a thing and i c it more and more in nyc and elsewhere now 😅😅

  2. Why they charge so much for Chicken Parmesan and spaghetti …it should have not cost no more then 55 dollars and that’s still high…120 are you insane…

  3. charging $90 for parm is crazy, you're paying for the fact that DiCaprio, Bourdain and other celebrities visited there. hard pass on the celebrity prices

  4. Why would yuo choose 2 tomato based dishes? Doesn't give much of a range of what the restaurant can do. Also, who the heck wold pay $120.00 for a simple lunch? Insane.

  5. 😆 You should have went to Tony's DiNapoli in Times Square. It's a good red sauce joint.
Emilio jacked their prices because of their celebrity customers.

  6. I went there in 2017 and my bill was $50 there with dessert. They weren't as well known. In that part of town Forlinis was better. They unfortunately closed.

  7. I'd rather eat a can of Chef Boyardee before I eat their over priced garbage. NYC sucks. Go to Boston's North End instead. Better food and prices.

  8. at least this video didn't have the cheshire-cat grinning, smoking owner/manager who is Earth's greatest fraud/BS'r. That food really is pedestrian. I would never go to Ballato, I miss Forlini's. It was reaI at least until the AH actors started showing up there.
