  1. This tempo is extremely lax , having worked seasonal kitchens by the sea side orders go out atleast 10 times faster , when you work on orders and service you have about 10 or 12 plates ready infront of you cause if you don't it's game over for you , you'll never keep up with the orders .
Reason i comment this is cause ppl are saying this is hard work or whatever , it really isn't in this video .

  2. I have never visited a restaurant like that. I am interested in working in a restaurant. But I would say bad words because of stress. So I see how a chef should act in this video. Thanks chef!

  3. i like this chef very relax and professional no bad words despite being a British Chef. i work with different British Chef the are also panic chef

  4. 3:20 I'm an attorney but I love cooking. In a way i identified with the Chef because you have a dozen employees doing things at the same time but you have to keep a close eye on what they do frequently. It takes very little for them to start cutting corners and doing things the wrong way for the sake of speed.

  5. I worked at an Udon Restaurant that only had 4 items and 14 seats, and obviously a VERY long line, like around the corner and out the building. I hated it sometimes but this is like 100x worse, i cant imagine this lol, so many items on the menu, so many people, so many variations. I would get pissed im ngl, id have to smoke while i cook just to stay sane

  6. Yeah idk about touching the burger with your hands not a good idea. Head chefs at high end restaurants are much more careful !

  7. As someone who has never worked in a professional kitchen before but loves to cook at home, I found this video extraordinarily fascinating to experience! Makes me wish sometimes that I would have given working in a kitchen a go when I was a bit younger. This was super cool to watch.

  8. I’m surprised there’s no shouting or screaming but I suppose you can’t do that in front of the customers

  9. Se arrivano i nas chiudi a tempo zero per tutte queste contaminazioni e passaggi la roba nei frighi sara tutta etichettata scommetto😂😂😂😂😂😂

  10. Went to a high end restaurant where I have ate twice but they're so big it's hard to get reservation, when you do the prices have a few more zeros than I feel comfortable paying. Have friends and old colleagues that has work there and say it's absolutely hell, you just run around all day getting bossed around by the head chef. They tell you that you are doing everything wrong and tell you how to actually do it. High tempo. stressful. but you get to work with amazing people.

Anyways sounded like my kinda place, went in and asked for a job, showed off my former jobs that I've had, but couldn't have any job there since I didn't have any culinary schooling and everyone who worked there had gone to culinary school or had worked 10-20+ years in the biz.

He told me straight up "You're still wet behind the ear, go to culinary school or come back in 4 years after you've worked for 4 years more in restaurant business, then I'll give you a job, deal?"

Well I got 2 more years and they're still going strong. Haven't been able to make a reservation for 7 months. They are booked up till 2026 haha. Like imagine to never ever have a slow day or hour ever again. You can also work whenever.

I'm a 4-6 hour sleep kinda guy. I work real well on those hours, 8 hours is too much… I'll be sleepy rest of the day if I sleep 8 hours (if I'm not behind on sleep)

Right now I work at two restaurants bc I won't be given full time. Not the owners fault, it's kind of tough now for restaurants in Sweden. but working two jobs part time I can get 50-60 hours a week, not every week but majority.
I see videos like this and I'm like "AAAHH put me in the trenches"

  11. 3:12 Don't touch people's food with your bare hands. You're running over to the dishwash area, cleaning pans, passing bottles between people. Gross.

  12. Nice to be reminded that most restaurants function normally and healthily without people screaming at each other, or having rotting food in storage, as you constantly see in Ramsay's videos. Its just a regular, hard working, cooperative environment like any other workplace

  13. Not once did I see homie bro wash his hands. If you're not going to wear gloves, have the decency to at least wash your hands. Also, if someone asks you how you're doing, at least be courteous enough to respond. This guy is a twat.

  14. Looking at that food I am not entirely sure we have the same definition of 'High end'. That looks perfectly fine and tasty, but in no way high end.

  15. I used to be a chef before illness took hold. Love watching these videos to see how much it has changed over the years and is a great reminder of the good old days. For some reason if find kitchen environments calming.

  16. This is amazing background noise while i read pfft, cant in complete silence but cant with music either

  17. Touching everything with his dirty hands, touching pen, papers, table, his watch, doors, idk what abd then touching food without washing his hands, eww
