  1. Answer To Kermit's question:
They don't anymore. People that attend a lot of wine tastings know that French wines are the best value in the wine world right now . I'll put a $15 bottle of CDR up against any $25 bottle of wine out there!!!

  2. Gary, Great segments with Kermit. Educational and thought-provoking. Kermit is true pioneer and icon in the industry that has brought us some of the most interesting wines in the world.
QOTD: The perception that French wines are more expensive stems from the publicity and lofty scores First Growth Bordeaux, Grand Cru Burgs have received over the years. It's a shame that it has kept wine lovers from enthusiastically seeking out and tasting some of the most interesting wines in the world.

  3. "why do guys think French wines are pricey" I hear about Burgundy and Bordeaux and how they make distinctions in gran cru, premier cru etc. and how these appellations of quality mean pricer bottles. I know a lot of reasonable $15-$25 French wines exist but it seems like bad quality stuff in relation to the pricer gran cru ,estate bottled stuff. But when I buy Cali wines, it's like I know I'm getting good quality at Sonoma etc. even when I pay the $20 – $25 for it. That's why I'm not buying French. And there's this view of nationalism and proud to be an American, identity etc. The wine defines me – American.
