I'm American and neither my mother nor my grandmother ever told me not to use the bread to sop up the sauce. We were middle-class regular folk 🙂

Very good video. I can’t think of a harder task than describing eats of a country where the food is so so regional and amazing like in Italy. Comparable to making a video about the beer and bread of Germany.
Awesome video, I'm actually writing a message to our Airbnb host in Rome to ask where they usually go eat in the neighbourhood where the apartment is in Aurelio. I'll do the same with our host in Salerno for the second leg of our trip. I can't wait to try what the province of Campobasso in the Molise region has to offer food wise. We'll be spending parts of two days in Larino, the comune where my nonno was born, then a couple of days in Termoli on the shore of the Adriatic Sea after Rome and Salerno.
No one eats the bread in Florence. Unless forced to eat it. Blame it on Pisa.
