Lesson learned, always ask the actual price before order. Venice is famous to fool tourists when tourists do not understand Italian. Or the natural of Italian love to provide better food and encourage upgrades to let you enjoy the food and service.
The menu says €18 for 12 Oz steak. But they encourage you to upgrade to larger portion of the steak. That steak came out as €60 steak.
I am sure they explained in Italian. But we did not get it.
But the food and entertainment is worth every penny. We love it!
And we went to another restaurant another day. A tourist couple ordered meals with a fish. That fish on the menu says €26. But the waiter suggested upgrade. So, much bigger plate came and bigger fish. When their bill comes. The fish was charged for €100. So, with their main course, wines and desserts and free complimentary after dinner drinks. Their bill comes to €300. Which they did not expect to spend that much. But the service is excellent.
