  1. So goo… truly… The habit of the comfortable Yoga attire, that actually can look tailored. But yes… we loose the habit of waring real clothes.

  2. Very well said, I am from Europe and when I was visiting a friend in the US her friends thought that I was overdressed when it’s very normal in Europe to wear blazer and trousers as a casual and normal days. We can identify so well which is americans and europeans

  3. hate lulu lemon, but i go for comfort regardless of anything. I have other ways to protect myself from crime
heels and revealing clothing is stupid when you're a tourist anyway

  4. Rather than looking like a local, focus on being polite, safe, and following their laws to the best of your ability. Dress more modestly in countries that value that. Everywhere else wear things that are good for the weather and playing outside all day.

  5. Cute tips. However – Europe is not ONE culture. Many different countries here with even more different cultures. What you (should or shouldn’t) wear depends on many things, not just the continent. Being identifiable as a tourist is not bad per se. Just make sure you’re a nice, polite tourist. Meaning mostly: don’t yell and scream, tone it down. And don’t expect everything to be just the same as in the US. If that’s what you want, do yourself (and Europe) a favor and just stay on your part of the American continent and enjoy your own culture. Traveling is about discovering things you don’t know yet. Enjoy.

  6. Each country in Europe is different. In Germany you can get away with activewear. Sensible footwear for sure.

  7. As a mid sixties woman growing up in the south my mother would approve. She always said exercise wear was for exercise. Period especially shoes. I was always taught to wear leather shoes and a coordinating leather purse. And Never Ever wear someone else’s name , or yours if you could help it, on your clothing. I raised my kids that way. The only exception was they could wear Disney Princess and Teenage Ninja Turtles, Underwear 😁

  8. Uh, first of all, Europe is divided into several different countries with several different cultures, styles, habits etc. and you’ll never be able to blend in everywhere. I’m Scandinavian and by your looks you could easily blend in here but never in Spain. But most of all try to keep your tone down cuz it gives you away as an American 🙈

  9. I live in Europe and an American. I can always hear an American before you can see them. The clothes are quoted common for young people but the loud voices are a dead give away.

  10. It depends totally where you are in Europe. For example, my suitcase didn't arrive with me to Sevilla, and I felt like a scruff in my travel trousers and trainers. The style in Madrid was much more casual. In Sofia and Bucharest, almost everybody wears trainers on the daily (like the UK). The best way to fit in is to try to find videos of the area you're going to visit and see what people are wearng in the season you're going. Admittedly, that' easier for the main cities, where there are often clips of long walking tours of the city.

  11. I'm from the US, but would frequently get mistaken for a different European nationality. I thought that to be a good thing, maybe? Spent a lot of time overseas touring as a musician, and just hanging around between. Perhaps that's why. I didn't dress particularly well, though. I will say it's the voice and attitude that can be a giveaway, even to me. I'll cringe. Funny story: a buddy comes out of a hotel in Paris while we're there. Author, musician, friend, black leather jacket and jeans. An American couple stops him to ask for directions -"do you speak English?" "Yes, I do." He helps them out, as they walk away the husband tells the wife "See? I told you – they ALL speak English!" Uh, no, thank god.

  12. Je suis d'accord pour les sacs, moi je prends😊 un sac action tout mimi et on se promène et on évite les sacs de l'apocalypse qui attirent les convoitises

  13. I didn't know that..
Coz I travel too.. but I live in Europea as I see other Regions of Europea..

America style clothing is in 1700..

Europea style clothing is in 1900..

Now…they talkin about Holand and Poland… Slovenia Hungaria and Slovachia Germania.. Auckland and Australia..

Now this period.. definition of fashion is already defined..
    For example.. Lady dress..
    Longuet
    Chemesier
    Bonheur
    Bonton
    Couchete

    Talleur Pants
    Talleur Skirt
    Skirt and Blouse

    Boho or Hobo
    Punk
    Kitsch
    Hippie

  14. Listened to two Montenegro men argue and gesticulate in very public setting in Kotor. Seems like Euro’s raise their voices just as much as anyone to me!

  15. 7:10 to avoid a medical condition called digitus malleus, known as hammer toes, i woul highly recommend not to wear flip flops.
Birkenstocks are a much better and healthier choice.

  16. I love your advice- except for the purse! I will carry a tailored nylon purse when traveling with a lot of sightseeing. One must be practical and ruining a designer purse is just stupid

  17. wear trekking sandals instead of flip flops, zipper pants instead of leggings and a deuter instead of a jansport, if you want to look like a German tourist instead of an American one.
And if you wanna be really fancy I recommend colored socks.
