In this video I list out my favorite producers in the Chianti Classico region to help you continue building your wine collection. I have yet to go wrong with wines from these folks and I will continue to stand by my statement that Chianti Classico wines are underpriced. Please note that this is NOT a video about the BEST Chianti Classico producers as there are plenty of wines I have yet to try. These recommendations are purely based on my Chianti Classico tasting activities through the years.
Just in case you don’t want to watch this video (which wouldn’t make any sense to me), the faves are listed alphabetically below:
Castello Vicchiomaggio
Fontodi
Isole e Olena
Nittardi
Enjoy.

I find Castello Fonterutoli quite consistently good in their price points. I have a few Felsina in the cellar, hope they are good.
Vicchiomaggio is about the same size as nittardi (+- 30 hectares), so you cannot claim it to be "small" and not nittardi 😉. Check out rocca di montegrossi or san giusto a rentennano. Or even a bit more under the radar, istine or caparsa…
