🍷 A Journey Through Italy in One Day

Yesterday, Wein & Kultur successfully hosted the latest edition of Selezione Italia—a vibrant celebration of Italian wine, spirits, and olive oil in the elegant setting of Hilton Vienna Stadtpark.
From 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM, over 25 winemakers, alongside five craft distillers and one artisanal olive oil producer, came together to showcase the richness and diversity of Italian terroirs.
Professionals, importers, sommeliers, journalists, and wine lovers enjoyed direct conversations with producers, discovered hidden gems, and tasted through an exceptional range of products from across the Italian peninsula.
🍇 From Alto Adige to Puglia: Wines That Told Stories
The tasting featured a broad spectrum of Italian wines, including:
Sardinia: Silvio Carta presented Vermentino, Cannonau, and the powerful “Bomba Carta” Amaro
Friuli Venezia Giulia: Elegant Vitovska and Friulano
Veneto: Prosecco Valdobbiadene, Soave, Amarone, Lessini Durello
Piedmont: Barolo, Barbaresco, Barbera
Tuscany & Lazio: Brunello, Carmignano, Cesanese
Puglia: Primitivo, Susumaniello, Nero di Troia
Attendees also appreciated the presence of organic and biodynamic producers, adding a sustainable dimension to the tasting.
🍸 Spirits, Liqueurs & Olive Oil Completed the Italian Experience
Beyond wine, guests had the chance to taste premium Italian spirits, including:
Amaro, Vermouth, Bitter, Gin, Genepy, Grappa, Whisky, and Limoncello
From houses like Liquori Morelli, Silvio Carta, Langa Spirit, Palent, and Marzadro
Agricola Campanale added a culinary touch with its high-quality extra virgin olive oil from Puglia.
