  1. I love eggplant parmesan. Sometimes it's offered as an appetizer. Or it may come heaped on top of spaghetti, in which case you'll have to tell them to hold the spaghetti and maybe request an extra eggplant medallion. The eggplant is often breaded but if it's thinly rolled, it's not that high on the glycemic index, especially paired with the cheese.

  4. Great video, I love eating out with friends and relatives and I've found that restaurants are very helful when you explain that you eat low carb and will always give you a low carb or carb free alternative to bread/rice/pasta.

  5. Is there a safe way to eat a bit of pasta in an Italian restaurant? At home, I make pasta with chickpeas and the high fiber in the beans slows the absorption of carbs?

    Yep I missed my Italian eating LOL But I had to say bye bye to the bread, pasta, potatoes, rice, of all kind in order to bring down my A1C from 13 to 5,8 and save my vision, Still getting eye injections but less drug of it.   7. Recently I have been trying to stick to a diet of protein, and trying to stay with a Carnivore diet since 2022. I stay away from sweets. and junk food. I eat grass-fed beef and farm fresh eggs. I also eat apricot seeds, which I soak in water and peel off the outer skin layer.

  8. Bread, pasta and tortilla all put my glucose up to 150. But, I get back down to 100 in 2 hours. I guess thats ok. But gycation starts at glucose over 100.

  9. Go to meal when i'm out is stop by Burger King and grab 3 or 4 whopper patties ala carte. Add some salt and all set!

  10. I guess I'm lucky, I don't like bread. It costs so much to eat out now that we only eat out about once every six weeks. I usually get a big steak.

  11. Thank you so much for your videos. These videos motivate me. I currently have an A1 C of 7.2 but started the 2 meal low carb plan and have begun losing weight. Glucose levels have already came down to normal range. I am currently on 2 oral meds for Diabetes and have been for many years. On the 2 meal plan I feel these drugs might be making me shaky when I am fasting. I will be talking to my Dr about cutting them back.

  12. Keto breads like "Hero" work like you describe the tortillas. I found my blood sugar went up 40 points from one of their hot dog buns. So I am scratching them off the list.

  13. You're videos and guidance really helped me beat diabetes. I was prediabetic but I didn't really understand the implications of it. Last June on a visit to my family for my dad's 90th birthday I started feeling really bad and had symptoms of diabetes. I continued to feel badly with all kinds of other health problems and by September I had blood tests and my doctor called me to say that actually I was diabetic for the past 2 years technically.😮
    I was really helpless and found your channel and followed many of your guidelines. I went keto in August actually because I felt something was wrong.
    My doctor put me on Metformin once a day and then my doctor increased this to 2x/day.
    Well now I am so happy to report that my AIC is down to 5.1!!! My fasting sugar was 80 yesterday and I am back to one pill a day 🎉
    I've lost a tin of weight, have seen a dietician who really gave me some good guidelines.
    Thank you very much and keep spreading the information.

  15. When I eat a sandwich out or home I don’t use bread. Hamburger with out bun. Restaurants are recognizing that a lot of people are saying no bread. God doesn’t want me to be a diabetic out of control 🙏
