-American Style Goulash: (Serves 4 | Feel free to double)
INGREDIENTS:
-1 lb ground beef
-1.75 cups beef broth (you can use chicken if you don’t have beef)
-1 can (15 oz) Tomato Sauce
-1 can (15 oz) Diced tomatoes
-1 medium yellow onion, diced
-2 heaping teas minced garlic
-1 teas paprika (I like a little more)
-1/2 teas black pepper
-2 teas soy sauce
-2 bay leaves
-1 teas Italian seasoning
-1 cup uncooked elbow macaroni (I like Barilla brand)
-1-2 teas dried parsley (you can also use fresh)
-Shredded cheese to top (optional)
-Salt to taste (I didn’t end up adding any)

METHOD:
In Large pot with lid-on medium high heat, brown the beef. Once cooked drain fat from pan except for a small amount. Cook diced onion in same hot pot for approx. 5 mins, or until onion is translucent. Add garlic and cook for another 30 seconds. Add in broth, cooked meat, and rest of the ingredients & stir well! Turn pot down to low, cover, and simmer for 20 mins, stirring occasionally. Add in pasta and stir well. Cover and crank heat back up to medium high/high. Cover and cook for 15-20 mins, stirring occasionally. Once pasta is cooked through and goulash has thickened up, dish out and top with shredded cheese. Enjoy 🙂
