The FIRST AMERICAN POPE but when he appeared on the balcony in St. Peter's Square for the first time as Pope Leo he spoke in three languages – BUT NOT ANY ENGLISH! That was a big let down! Why would he not even say SOMETHING in English like 'God Be with You'? I would lke to know why he snubbed his birth country! OK. OK. He finally spoke some English in the Mass Friday morning but it was too itttle, too late.

My family and I toured the Vatican museum and the Sistine chapel in early March. It really makes it ‘real’ having visited that very room just a few weeks ago! I stood in nearly the same spot as the pontiff. Good luck Pope Leo! Go Sox!

I already love the new Pope. I speak Spanish and English and I loved hearing Francis speaking Spanish but something about hearing a Pope speak in his native English. It's like I'm in my local parish and but it's the Pope speaking. I think he will be a great Pope.
