Yeah, Aquariums and zoos maybe have had some kind a sense when Internet didn't exist, but today mmmm. Totally agree.

In Genoa big ships are even built, a sort of Italian Glasgow.
Those areas really resembling Hong Kong are port workers houses mostly if I'm not wrong, like Sampierdarena (area in which Sampdoria football team was born).

The opulent baroque palaces in Genoa go back to a time when Genoa was a major financial power that had colonies and agencies right through the Mediterranean and as far as the Black Sea and Crimea.
