  2. Hi. Do you know where we can buy little soaps in firenze? 2 years ago I went to bassano del grappa and bought some in Zeus Ceramiche, a shop just before the most beautiful bridge of the town.

  3. I know this is quite touristy, but I love the real statue of David. although fair warning — there's one worker at the entrance who is quite rude. but the walk through the Versari corridor is also very interesting.

  4. Thank you for your video it was very useful for planning, one question, it looks like it was cold in Florence, in which month did you went? Im looking to go mid march next year and not sure if still will be cold or not thanks!

  5. Appreciate the detailed breakdown! 🧐 Just a small off-topic question: 😅 I only have these words 🤔. (behave today finger ski upon boy assault summer exhaust beauty stereo over). Not sure how to use them, would appreciate help. 🙏

  6. May favorite corner of Florence is … not being there. Like Barcelona, Venice or Praha it suffers from over-tourism. So I don't need to be part of that.

  7. Here you can see the damages of the mass tourism into the social and economical tissue of a little italian city sold out by local politics and foreign companies. No italians or florentines appear on the streets, no proximity stores for locals who lives here and are been forced to move out in periferic zones or in the country side, their houses inherited from families generations cutted off in small portions to accomodate more tourists. We have the lowers job wages in Europe stuck the same for about 20yrs and prices for goods, rents and food as Paris or London caused by the high demand of turistic fluxus. Have you study some before came here in an historical town as Florence or it's just for two selfies and pics to post?!? We got 20 millions of mass tourists each year having no idea about why they're here or what's in here (except gelato, pizza and pasta of course…).

  8. Thank you for all your recommendations. Having just returned from two weeks in Tuscany and nearby cities, I’m remembering the magical moments, food, architecture, art and wonderful shops we discovered.

  9. Great guide, I'll make sure to see these the next time I'm there!
Although quite well known, but not mentioned here, are 3 more very significant places (excuse me if I slightly butcher the names) that are worth the visit:
    1. Ospedale degli Innocenti – designed by Filippo Brunelleschi and decorated by Luca della Robbia, considered the first Renaissance building in the world.
    2. Santa Maria Novella – designed by Leon Battista Alberti, a basilica with a revolutionary volute facade, and decorated by paintings of Masaccio.
    3. Santa Croce – decorated by paintings of Giotto di Bondone, this beautiful basilica contains the tomb of Michelangelo, Leon Battista Alberti, Galileo and many other famous artists, philosophers, writers and other well known personalities. Right next to it (accessible from the same ticket) is Brunelleschi's chaple Capella Pazzi, another important building of the early Renaissance.

  10. Guided tours of Orsanmichele? Now I'm very depressed. Clearly, it is no longer a hidden gem. And all the other places where I would go to get away from the crowds will also be spoilt if I tell you about them. Most people just want to see the David and the Uffizzi, so why not keep quiet about the other places?
