You know that one thing you’ve always dreamed of doing but kept putting off? For me, it was *making pasta from scratch.* Something about mixing flour and eggs and turning it into silky ribbons of dough felt so magical… and today, I finally did it.
Even with half my face numb from a root canal (yes, really!), I rolled out that dough with the biggest smile on my face. Because this moment — this messy, beautiful, flour-covered moment — was everything.
**Homemade Pasta Recipe**
**Ingredients (per person):**
– 100g flour (you can do 150g all-purpose + 50g semolina for a perfect texture)
– 1 large egg
**How to make it:**
1. Gradually mix flour and egg until a rough dough forms.
2. Knead until it’s smooth and not sticky — it should bounce back when pressed.
3. Wrap and chill for 2 hours.
4. Roll out as thin as possible (1mm if you can!) and slice.
5. Lightly flour the dough to avoid stickin
– It might feel dry at first — don’t worry. Keep kneading and trust the process.
– Always sprinkle a bit of flour while rolling or cutting. It makes life so much easier.
And just like that, you’ve got your very own fresh pasta. No machine. No fancy tools. Just your hands and a little bit of magic.
More pasta adventures coming soon — ravioli, lasagna, and the yummiest sauces ever!
