Mama T, have a GREAT taping in Milwaukee!! Looking forward to seeing your next show release and seeing you in November. I was shocked about Pope Frank. He really did try to bring the Church forward on some issues. Also, he wasn't shy about speaking out to world leaders either. It was surprising to see him in public on Sunday and then to see he passed on Monday morning news. At least, he was able to get out on Easter Sunday. Safe travels!!

thought the scar on the arm was just for smallpox. my older sister had it, but it was not used by time I came around, so I do not have smallpox vacc, but my mom had all mine that were being done, so I got whatever version for the measles was given in the early 70s. I know my kids in the 90s got the MMR (measles, mumps, rubella)
if terrorists ever release smallpox on us only the 55+ people will be immune. maybe we should bring back a smallpox vaccine. seems only a matter of time before some evil bastard gets us with it.

I just had a blood test and asked my doctor to add on a measles titer because I received the measles vaccines in the 1960’s. Lo and behold my titer was very low so he recommended that I get a booster. Also, I never had the measles.

I went to Italy over Easter Break 1985, when I was in 10th grade in high school. We went to Easter Mass in Florence and I dont remember anything about an exploding cart. I do remember having a hard time staying awake during the mass because I didnt know Italian. Another plane on fire. Yikes. I just remember last week Kathleen saying 'stop wearing flip flops when flying'

Kathleen you can have your doctor draw blood and tell you what shots are still offering amunity. I came of age during the aids/hiv crisis. We got blood tested when we got married and when we had kids. Both times my doctor commented well you were vaccinated. The only shot you need to keep getting is tetanus. That one only lasts about ten years. I hope that helps. Go get a blood test and yes your mother is right.

Love your dad stories! My 93 year old aunt, from Des Moines Iowa & then settled in Chicago, pronounces Toyota & Loyola like Tye-ota & Lye-ola. She is very intelligent & ran her own large corporation, plus I’m sure she hears all of us pronouncing it correctly, but she says it “her way” regardless.
