Best Chianti Classico 🍷 video ever Agnese 💋❤️ Fontodi is the DRC of Chianti Classico 🍷🍷🍷🍷 oh yea
I was first exposed to Classico through a British gentleman I knew whose mother was Italian and he spent much of his life in Italy. Very nice wine. I don't remember the specific vineyards or vintages but they were all delicious.
Love the t-shirt btw.
Always oak barrel. Other tree be ,interesting
An enjoyable and quite informative video. Agnese, your enthusiasm and expressiveness are infectious. Rather than failed, I would say you succeeded in educating about the three levels of Chianti Classico and that there are good and better values in each. Thanks for another great video. No Sediment is why I look forward to Sunday!🥰🍷🍾
I just cant do Chianti. Never had any good bottle, until i met Lemole Lemole grand selezione. 1.5hrs of breath and its ok .
Latvian wine 🍷 queen 👸
I love Sangiovese in all of its expressions and styles. Chianti Rufina Bucerchiale is one of my favorites. Thank you for the great content.
I don’t get Sangiovese or Nebbiolo wines, I so wish my nose and pallet would like them because they are so much more affordable than the Italian Cabernet and Merlot super Tuscans 😢
Now I really want to go buy some Chianti Classico! Great enthusiasm! 🍷
Ruffino gran selezione was so oaky that little dwarf king in the hobbit could have used it as a shield as he lobbed off an orc arm. I must not have been regal enough to embrace that one. Palabra a tú madre mi amiga!
Very nice tasting
3:57 I’ve spent quite a bit of time down here when I had my internship at Mazzei
2017 vintage
I've had no less than 150 Chianti Classicos, and I think this region is single-handedly ruining the name of Sangiovese, and it gets worse with their Gran Seleziones; the age does not add complexity it adds foxiness. I would steer away from this region and focus on the broader Tuscany.
The best is aged Vigna del Sorbo from Fontodi! Amazing sangiovese at relatively low price when compared to similar level Brunelli.
Great video! It seems GS was more of a marketing term than a higher quality level but that seems to be changing. I love the push to the sub zones on the front of the labels to highlight the historic areas and terroirs. After working with Italian wine for about 30 years if I had to pick one wine to drink for the rest of my life it wouldn’t be Brunello or Barolo but would be well made Chianti Classico from Panzano like Fontodi or San Giusto a Rentennano.
Thank you for your video. I love to learn more about Italian wines, but all your videos are great. You make it fun and interesting. Living in Alaska…. I'm not around any vineyards, so I also love it when you visit wineries and talk with great winemakers. Anyway…. keep up the great content, I appreciate your hard work.
I remember 2021 is a difficult vintage in most of europe
Oh wow, I love IL Grigio. I can’t remember the exact years I’ve purchased, but I think I’ve had the 2021 and other years. I’ve found it to be delicious. The store I purchase it from in California has a hard time keeping it in stock.
Had this wine recently and found it to be very good. 2016 Castello Fonterutoli Chianti Classico
Lovely video. You are utterly charming, and your passion for the wine is a delight. Thanks for the effort. Sangiovese is so amazing. For me, it is all about Brunello and Chianti.
Do a similar study w aiolas chianti classio , reservas and gran selecion… 2018 vintage
I haven’t had Chianti Classico in a while. I’m a vino mobile guy.
I love your enthusiasm, Agnese! And love your videos. 2021 was an excellent vintage for Chianti Classico, if my favorite producer is any indication. For what its worth, that producer is San Giusto a Rentenanno, where, while different from one another, both the Classico and the Riserva are gorgeous in '21.
Come on! 2021 vintage is easily researchable and is actually a great vintage. One to stock up on for sure given the conditions and more challenging harvests in 2022 and 2024.
I wish I could enjoy wine as much as you do.
