  1. These are all very good, but as usual, the food from the North isn't mentioned and it's the best food in Spain. At the very least add 'Pulpo a la gallega' and 'Almejas en salsa verde' to those.

  2. Tip number #1 from a local: never, ever, eat paella from a restaurant if you see a sign on the street with pics of paella dishes (you will see it everywhere). Those paellas are frozen, industrialised, and taste NOTHING like the real deal. Paella is also expensive and takes time to cook so if you see deals for 15/20e you know it’s not real. Any real paella will cost you easily 50+ euros, and they are never served as individual portions.

  3. Great food feature. The Girlfriend™and I each need to work another 5-6 years, before the chains of "earning a living" can be broken. But we've been discussing the possibility of going ex-pat and moving to Spain. In the meantime, I have some classic dishes to learn. Thanx! 👏🫀

  4. Spanish here, sorry but paella is not Spain's national dish. Something like this does not exist. Spain has an endless amount of dishes, different to each other. Saying paella is the national dish is stereotypical and non accurate. Is better to say that is well known by foreigners, who most of the times never tried the real thing. Go to Valencia, that's the only way. By the way I am not from Valencia.

  5. ¡Olé! A final de este video, faltaba algo de SALMOREJO – Incluso mejor que lo tipo del gazpacho..!!!! Otra nivel sin duda…
At the end of this video you forgot some… Even better than your typical… Taken to the next level, without a doubt…
    ¡Olé!

  6. Naaah, Catalans and South of Spain don't know how to cook, I live in Spain, it's so limited and boring that I don't go there to Spanish restaurants anymore.

  7. Im spanish and for me the true "national dish" is the Tortilla, maybe the Paella is the most know around the world but here is considered a regional food (from Valencia) but the tortilla feels like it doesn't belong anywhere in particular.

  10. In my opinion, it isn't all that great compared to other cuisines / dishes I've tasted from other countries (and I live in Spain.) Good but definitely not my go to when it comes to variety, flavors, ingredients, etc.

Here comes the hate train lmao
