  1. OH NO! Rich people will have to pay more for luxury status symbol items! For 95% of Americans, US wine will do. It's all a pretentious scam to begin with (like modern art). Most Costco spirits are the exact same from the same distilleries, just relabeled. Just like my Geo Prizm had all the same mechanical parts as a toyota corolla and lasted me 400K miles and cost 1/3 less.

  2. I drink local wine from the USA. It’s a small winery that sells organic, sulfite-free wines right on the banks of the northern Columbia river. It’s also where my husband and I were married. ❤
China Bend winery, Kettle Falls Wa.

  3. We can drink CA wine for the same price. Franchises can drink their and whatever they have for export to the US they can pour in the ocean. Meaning their own wine will be sitting in their wineries unsold. Easy isn’t it? Same thing with European cars

  4. $9 for a glass of Ca Montebello Sangue Di Giuda is the true crime here. You can get a bottle of that for $15 from a wine merchant and any cheap California Lambrusco can replace it. An Australian sparkling Shiraz will outdo it.

  5. A California wine I used to drink in college…. opus one; A collaboration between Mondovi and Rothchild.

I just looked up how much a bottle cost in Europe today…. $500!!!!!!!
California wines are the most desired in the world!
