Good food shines wherever it is. So the fact that Lupo – an exceptional Roman-style osteria and pasticceria – is found on a random industrial estate in Prestwich shouldn’t matter much.
Though obviously, it makes it all quite a bit cooler that you have to go and find it.
Nico Pasquali is the man behind it, doing the classics properly from carbonara to all’amatriciana, not to mention some superlative pastries, all of them homemade on the premises. And if you’ve never had a caffè corretto – coffee ‘corrected’ – it’s about time you did.
Seek this corner of Rome out right away.
