Naples, Italy (Napoli Italia) is the 3rd largest in Italy and has SO MANY amazing things to do. There are numerous castle such as Castel Sant’Elmo, Castle Nuovo, Castel dell’Ovo. There are iconic churches such as Santa Chiara, Gesu Nuovo, and the Duomo. You can eat pizza in the birthplace of pizza at Gino e Toto Sorbillo or L’Antica Pizzeria da Michele. The waterfront or “Lungomare” shows fantastic views of Mount Vesuvius. Across the Piazza del Plebescito, you can explore the Palazzo Reale di Napoli. There are iconic gritty and atmospheric streets to wander like the Via dei Tribulani and Spaccanapoli. Let me know which of these things on my list are your favorite in the comments below!

  1. I watched this video earlier but came back to my history simply to say, don't listen to him about the baba al rum! It is so so yummy. I almost didn't try it because he made it sound awful. It depends what you like but I thought it was wonderful, sweet, not too strong of rum and oddly refreshing. He doesn't like it but you might!

The rest of the video was great and we did many of the things from the list. Wonderful city and helpful video.

That will be all, thank you for reading 😊

  2. We are going to Italy this June. Are 3 days in Naples enough to see n do everything? How do we get here from Rome?

  3. Great video! Thank you for not apologizing for the raw and gritty nature of Napoli, but instead celebrating it. I got a much better idea of which sights will be my priorities while I'm there by watching this video than by reading many guides. Grazie!

  4. The National archaeological museum is a must see and is one of the worlds best and houses extraordinary Greek Roman and Renaissance art and sculpture and includes much that was removed from Pompeii

  5. Great video. I will be taking my family of four on a 37-day European adventure and had originally booked a tour that would use the train from Rome to Naples and jump on a bus to Pompeii but I decided to arrange the travel myself so we will get into Naples for four hours and then train to Pompeii for a later tour, and then back to Rome.

  6. Very informative, But, not very easy to catch and follow up for someone who's not familiar with name and general Naples knowledge. Not a very good video editing. Very short time for each section with fast narrator talking. Slow down man. We can not remember anything from this video at the end of it.

  7. Quando dite che Napoli è pericolosa è per sembrare eroici avventurieri????
Questa narrazione è vecchia e stantia ma se avete comunque paura, restate a casa ce ne faremo una ragione

  8. Here's a summary of the top 7 things to do in Naples, Italy, according to the video:

    1. Watch the sunset from Castel Sant'Elmo: A 13th-century fortress offering panoramic views of Naples, Mount Vesuvius, and surrounding areas.

    2. Eat authentic Neapolitan pizza: Try pizzerias like Gino Sorbillo, Starita, and L'Antica Pizzeria da Michele.

    3. Take a sightseeing tour of the historic center:
    – Piazza del Plebiscito
    – Galleria Umberto I
    – Castel Nuovo (exterior)
    – Chiesa del Gesù Nuovo
    – Chiostro di Santa Chiara

    4. Visit the Royal Palace of Naples (Palazzo Reale di Napoli): Spend at least 2 hours exploring this grand 17th-century palace.

    5. Walk along the Lungomare di Napoli and visit Castel dell'Ovo: Enjoy the seafront promenade and explore the ancient seaside castle.

    6. Explore iconic Naples streets:
    – Via dei Tribunali (known as "Pizza Street")
    – Spaccanapoli
    – Via San Gregorio Armeno (Christmas Street)

    7. Honorable mentions:
    – Via Toledo (main shopping street)
    – Naples Cathedral (Duomo)
    – Try Neapolitan pastries (especially sfogliatelle)
    – Visit the Catacombs of Naples
    – Explore the Royal Palace and Gardens of Capodimonte

The video emphasizes experiencing the authentic, gritty side of Naples while enjoying its rich history, architecture, and culinary traditions.

  9. As much as I applaud your effort to trying to produce a video, you should really have done your homework. For example, at the very least you should know how to properly pronounce the names of the locations properly. How do you expect your viewers to understand or get a sense of the language if you butcher each location. Also, why you would recommend them NOT having a BABA when it is a classic pastry of the region is beyond me. It is not your favorite and stating so is ok but to dissuade someone from trying something so iconic of Napoli is wrong and culturally insensitive. And while on the subject of pastries and since you spent time on it– the pastry you had shown was a frolla and although technically a sfogliatella asking for a sfogliatella would get you a different looking pastry–that being the flaky kind which you did not show. Why confuse viewers–make it simple or show both. Bottom line, I recommend viewers go elsewhere for content or update your video with these and other corrections that any Italian can assist you with.

  10. after missing Napoli when I raced to Pompeii I will be doing a 2 day visit. One day i will hop to Procida and Ischia. The other I will run through some of these listed things but concentrate on 3 things: the archeological museum, napoli soterranea and to top off see an opera at teatro san carlo. curious also to taste pizza fritta that was also skipped here.

  11. Suggestion to do a more authentic video. Don't refer to the PIAZZA a plaza… which is a Spanish word. Also the Island of CAPRI is not pronounced CAPREE as in capri pants. It is capri without the accent on the "I" because it's named after the "capra" goats that overran the island. You're welcome.

  12. HI nice tips, thanks a lot. But you forgot the absolutely amazing archeological museum!

  13. Great video. Also, your Italian pronunciation is generally pretty good, buy FYI: “Gesu” is a soft “g” (translates to Jesus) and “Palazzo” is “apartments” not “palace”.
