  1. To think that I had dreams of becoming a chef when I was in high school over 20 years ago.

    Thank God I reconsidered…

  2. I'm not gonna lie I don't agree with this worldwide culture of excellence

Where you have to work long inhumane hours, be stressed 18 hours a day and etc.

He hardly smiles and it seems like he's just working towards the idea of being excellent and living in LA while not defining his own path.

Other than that it seems like a necessary evil towards a path in entrepreneurship.

  3. I have been a CEC for 35 years. I WISH all the cooks I knew had this young mans drive!!! He WILL go a very long way in this business!

  4. i know this is old.. but lol what a joke. you are a cook in a kitchen get over yourself loool.

  5. annoying soundtrack or noise , idk what those whistles are in the background. feel free to remove this video @foodie

  6. I get the ambition, but still…There’s nothing dumber than working your ass off, sweating for less than 25 dollars per hour and then do a educational video acting like a pro, when the realism is just a nose-dose of white powder in every shift just to make it in a 16 hour shift.

  7. I just started my journey at dennys my 1st cook job not much , but i honestly enjoy it my goal is to work at a 5 star restaurant one day

  8. I’m an upcoming Chef and I went to school first instead of working in a kitchen I can’t wait to start and get a chance. It’s actually hard to find a place when you have no experience in the kitchen. 😞

  9. Food is life, being a chef i will never do anything else. Ive been a chef since i was a teen. I will retire and die as a chef.

  10. No better feeling then being called "Chef". You can work in kitchens your whole life and arrive in a new environment and not be called "Chef" no matter how hard you have trained to be in the position you are in your career. That's when you know you're either in the wrong place or the staff are the wrong staff.

  11. I'm sure you're a great Chief in a fantastic restraraunt, but that background music or whatever it is, is really annoying

  12. People tend to forget that the michelin came first from car tiers 😂 and back in the day the food wasnt fine dining, fine dining looks good and okey taste.

  13. I can't believe this video is ten years old now. It's been about ten years for myself since I started being really hands on & started cooking. I always come back to this video if I ever need some inspo. 7 restaurants and 2 catering gigs later I can truly say I have not thought about doing anything else with my career! I love this job always, no matter how insane it can get. Whatever tomorrow brings! Cheers Chef!

  14. I think being a chef is truly poetic. Taking what God has provided and creating something to glorify that gift making others happy.
