My brother-in-law was apparently thinking of going to Vegas this year for his 50th birthday, but that probably won't happen. So many Canadians are cancelling trips to the USA simply because of Trump being president. That's going a bit overboard, I think. I always enjoy your videos, Ruby!

Wild Fig is amazing and the owner is a veteran. I highly recommend the cookies there after your meal. Freshly baked and amazing!
A few years ago when Esthers kitchen first appeared on Ruby’s Best Restaurants list, we went there based on your recommendation. We have since been back many times and love their new space. Always have a fantastic meal and love the local vibe there.

Please head over to Guilt Free Glutton, on Gier (near the airport). It's an absolutely fabulous, casual, family run restaurant. I drive in two hours just to have lunch there. ❤

The Beef Cheek Ravioli and Wild Boar Lasagna looked like the standout dishes to me. Insane. I also love that Pizza Rock featured a tavern style pizza for their "Chicagoland" instead of deep dish … seems truer to what Chicagoans actually prefer (or so I hear). Great review! Making me think seriously about mini vacay in Vegas.

I agree about the space and vibe at The George but not the food. Everything I've had there seemed less than fresh and overcooked 😢
Meatballs at Carbone are to die for. Best Italian in Vegas imo.

My husband an I ate at Pizza Rock last October and it was incredible. I have celiac so I got the gluten free crust and can say it's the best gluten free crust I've ever had, and I've tried a lot.
