What about the mafia, the Ndrageta and camorra, did they try to shake you guys down? I heard if you buy property they track you down and extort you. No idea if its true though, is it?

thats fab. Been there almost bought. Bought in Abruzzo but still looking as a possiblity. So many rules eh? FUN FUN FUN. So when do you go back? I bought mine sight unseen from an agent on youtube I will be headed there in April. So will you rent it out when you are not there? Have any leads on management co's? Internet is scarce in winter in Scalea and me being a single gal after spending 2 months driving Calabria and Puglia I decided I did not want to spend any more time in Naples or the south. But it would be a fun investment if I could find the right person to manage it. I am applying for residency in Portugal so at that time I could spend as much time in italy as I want. No car as you had said but places like Scalea and where I bought in Abruzzo have busses and trains no worries. You did good.
