hmm well we told u canada can rebound of it, and tbh ty for trump for showing what real democracy can do when it awake from a slumber.
yes, who in their right mind wants to do business with a lying, cheating, corrupt business guy? he is emboldened on this second go around as president, which makes him even more dangerous to deal with., unforntuately for us – America. You knmow….if one looks more closely at some areras he is trying to change, I can see some benefits. but his lack of any analysis, rather than broad brush corp and thug style strategies and tactics, let you know he is not to be trusted. It's too bad too bc he could be the "white" knight in shining armor.
Trump seem does not know that our love for America isn't unconditionnal. USA was a partner since always, but this recent disrespect and betrayal just cannot pass. When you treat friends as ennemies, well, then those friends will go make friends somewhere else.
US: Let's make reciprocal tariffs so everything's fair
Rest of the world: *Loses their minds*
We love Italy!
time we Canadians started diversifying our markets
. I want to thank trump for. waking up our politicians and business leaders and hopefully we can get out of this "one basket” model and we can then havea proper bargaining postion with the trump by telling him to pound lead if he thinks he can bully us.
Clean and renewable energy, human rights, security… I just wish the Italian government was committed to all these things with Italian citizens too
The rest of the world needs to understand that the majority of Americans are embarrassed by trump.
italy is a broke tourist trap. good luck.
how many people got paid to make comments below. this is a joke.
Italy is such a good choice as a trade partner for us, especially in agricultural products because they have the same ban on certain harmful additives to food and to growth hormones in meat and dairy cattle, and herbicides/pesticides.
If we could replace many of our imported clothing and other goods from Italy instead of China, we would be getting much better quality, though more expensive.
You say that Italy is already our third greatest source of imports. Can you tell me what foods and other items we already import from there?
I have been boycotting US produce and other products from the beginning of Trump‘s first term. I’ve been able to supplement mostly with produce from Mexico and Chile, or trying to only buy seasonally available Ontario grown fresh or frozen.
I haven’t come across any produce from Italy. I’d love to have that option.
Let's all MAGA! Make America Go Away!
looking at the anti-American attitude in the comments, it may be best for the US to annex canada, as canadians seem to be an existential threat to US Americans. the whole reason this trade war started was because the canadian government began courting chinese auto makers to produce EVs in canada to circumvent tariffs against china by using stipulations in the USMCA trade agreement. with allies like that, who needs enemies?
Now ,every country of this world will make trading with BRICS no more usa.
As an italian I feel like Canada is much more similar to EU countries than to the States. I might be wrong because I never visited, but that's the feeling I get from here. I would be super happy to see Canada as a strong ally of Europe. And I would be super happy to see Europe more united and stronger. Friendship with the USA has been good in the past, but it's not really a friendship when one part is much stronger than the other and you end up dependent from it. EU must be a friend of USA but on equal terms.
I hope we Canadians keep on this path even if things change with the states. We should diversify our trade partners and never put so much dependance on one country. From now on the USA should be near the bottom of our partner list.
lol what money from Italy, be realistic, Italians barely have gdp to spare lol.
I’m 🇨🇦. Hope we will eat more Italian foods and having more Italian goods.
Canada is not only poor, but it can't even pay its bills. It has a scarce military and the only money they can give is by stealing from its people.
Dont beleive Trump's bullshit Canada. All of our taxes are going up. All but the billionaires anyways.
All of you people from Canadian an the Europeans need to know if you all ready don't Trump he a big ass hole
Good. The more we diversify, the stronger we become, and the stronger the bargaining position when the US gets over their 4 year virus.
Bravo PM Meloni.
It's a bush of bullshits.
better quality and healthier products from Europe instead of the U.S foods that has so many chemicals and other junks pumped into them. Canada and all European countries can become very strong and fair trading partners.
Canada bună venit în Europa!
I live in italy. everyday I dream to flea away by this sountry. if u wanna settle down in italy means that isn't going very well in your country. so if u r real friend offer me a chance to leave italy
Wishful thinking, but short on reality.
I agree with the content but I downvoted because of the clickbait title. Be better.
I think it's hilarious that people think we care about your two countries.
American here, we wanted to be able to afford food and to live. We didnt ask for tarrifs on Canada. I dont even know why he would do that to our largest ally
Boicot usa
Canada and Italy we can trust each other. Neither country can trust the USA
