The area is called Peckham in London.
Talk about Ayra Starr becoming the first African artist to win an international category at the MOBO awards and Tems shutting down O2 arena in UK.

Nigerian restaurants and dishes has been popular for decades in the UK, USA, South America to name a few. As a matter of fact during the 1996 Presidential Democratic Convention in Chicago, President Bill Clinton went to the stall of a Nigerian restaurant at the Taste of Chicago festival (it's an annual food festival and the biggest in the world I am told and attracts millions of people from around the world) and ate Egusi soup and it made the front pages of newspaper. You can Google and see the pictures.
No way! Pakistan man open Nigerian Food Restaurant in London? Who de cook de 9ja food foram?

Ajim, you are the man of the people always coming out with great contents kudos bro ❤
Good morning Ajim. That place you are asking about is Peckham and Walworth . People in London refered that district as "Little Nigeria". It started from the 1950s according to history when the worlwide recruitment started with the Windrush generation from the Caribbean and then Africa and Asia to build the UK after the WW2 and with it came cultures, fashion cuisines. The Africans and the Caribbeans started from the S.W. part of London called Brixton, then parts of the S.E. London like Deptford, Peckham, Walworth. Now these days, in Stratford, East London where I live, there are quite a number of Nigerian restaurants in East London, some parts of Essex, infact everywhere in London and Manchester. It is just like China having "Chinatown" in Central London, Asia already taken over Southhall, refered to as "Little India" Upton Park and East Ham. The Jewish people also has Syamford Hill, Golders Green and some parts of Finchley in North London.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Peckham in London is like a 'small Lagos" where Yoruba and pidgin are very commonly spoken there on the street Nigerians has long been the dominant African tribe in Peckham for decades no be today we don dominate U.K
Yes
Ajim my brother same in India
God will bless you
We love you ❤
It's not just the Nigerian community
There are other communities in the UK too
Communities are formed for various reasons
Mainly to feel accepted
It can be difficult being in a different country with different cultures and trying to be accepted by the people of the country
People form communities to make their stay in a country easy
Having communities doesn't mean that the community doesn't accept the people of the country or the laws and regulations of the land
The Nigerian community welcomes anyone
The community wasn't formed to shut others out
Not everyone will accept everyone
Those who are in the community seem to accept the people of the community
A community doesn't mean creating another country in a country 😂
A community is creating a community of people that accept one another
That's how I see community because that's my perspective 😂
Everyone has different perspectives on things or life
Nigerian restaurants pop up in the countries where there is the Nigerian and West African diaspora. Hence, the demand.
Can't compete with the Chinese and Italian cuisine. What's interesting – Chinese restaurants operate in the places with zero Chinese population.
I'm waiting for your friends from South Africa to destroy Ajim's stories with one word – Nando's 🤣
I'm not surprised cos a Nigerian must carry thier food anywhere they go.. if a Nigerian moves somewhere its just a matter of time before an african store stocking our food will show up and followed my our restuarant. Cos we too like swallow 😅😅😂😂
And add to that we are pushful and must introduce all our friends and colleagues to our food😅
I remember the agege bread bakery launch in ontario, cant rememberthe city. The mayor came to the launch and got a sample. The man says since then its only agege bread his son agrees to eat.😅😂
Super Ajim we hail you oh
I said it before, that we 🇳🇬🇳🇬 are the new colonists take it or leave it that's your business. Is always good watching you from 🇦🇺🇦🇺 You too much Ajim.
And for the African countries we 🇳🇬🇳🇬 have done colonising them, It just that they are suffering from literacy and bray of ideas
😂
Egusi soup aka swallow is nasty lol, I’d rather eat Chinese food, any African food I’m touching will probably be Somalian food.
I think the city is Peckham in UK, they call it Lagos in UK.
By now Ghanaian or south african or other black african countries can see that we Nigerian has gon far with our colonies 😅 so let them stop fooling them self trying for years painting Nigeria image bad…is only helping us to promote other side of Nigerian 😅
