STORY

This once-stunning Italian villa has been left completely abandoned, frozen in time after tragedy struck its owners. Ricardo and Elena lived here for decades, cherishing its beauty and history. But in 2015, age forced them to move away—though they never truly let go. Even after leaving, they installed alarms to protect the home, ensuring its legacy remained intact.

But everything changed in 2018 when the couple lost their lives in a tragic accident. With no one left to care for the villa, it was forgotten, its ornate frescoes and antique furnishings left to gather dust. Strangely, not even their own children stepped in to preserve their parents’ cherished home.

Elena, a passionate advocate for animal welfare, played a major role in protecting nature and animals across Italy. Ricardo, on the other hand, remains an enigma. Little is known about his life, yet clues within the home suggest he held an important position.

Now, the villa stands as a haunting reminder of a life once lived—a place where love, dedication, and mystery still linger in the air. What caused their children to turn away? And why was this extraordinary home left to decay?

Join us as we uncover the story behind this abandoned masterpiece.

  1. Mio Dio, avete rischiato di cadere? 😮

Spero vivamente che qualcuno si innamori di questa casa e ne scriva un'altra storia.
In realtà non è così isolata come sembrava.
    Grazie mille ❤

  2. Hey hey, dear Lesley, thank you so much for taking us on tour through that beautiful and still very intact richly furnished and beautifully decorated Italian mansion full of wonderful antiques. – I loved seeing all that elaborately decorated furniture. I enjoyed very much watching and listening to your comment. – Especially upstairs the rooms in their original state of preservation were amazing and a real surprise. – The view from the tower was breathtaking!
Wishing you all the best, bro, -'peace and kindest regards.

  4. Less, I never get tired of watching you, your so passionate in what you say. Glad your well and even more happy to be with you. How is Danny ? You never answer me. If you do see him again tell him he is missed. Thank you for you.. ❤😊

  5. My ex-husband was 100% Italian and it doesn't surprise me at all the adult children wanted nothing to do with their parents. Italians hold grudges even against their own family members. I know because I saw it with my own eyes. The mother disowned the daughter and never spoke to her for decades.

  6. I loveee your videos. But, it’s not the same without Danny! You 2 were a great team! Please bring him back!

  7. Well, ifigured if the radio was on when you first entered the building, that would indicate that the electricity was still flowing.

  8. I truly enjoy your website videos. This video reminds me of when I started watching you. I really enjoy the cameraman more than I do. The other one you had. You were the only one speaking and commenting on such beautiful property. The other ones seem very condescending towards you.
Keep up the beautiful work that you show all of us through these beautiful abandoned homes 👏👏👏👏👏

  9. What a wonderful house, I really liked the hand painted wallpaper and the birds. I hope someone saves it. Many thanks for the interesting tour.

  10. I love how you try to figure out the family and the history of the properties you visit. Wonderful! And, I can not get over the walls upstairs being painted and not wallpaper! Stunning.

  11. they're not barrels.they are called CARATELLI, and they hold VINSANTO. and we store them not in the cellars, but on the top floors of our houses.

  12. Marie Touchet was the only mistress to Charles IX of France and bore him a son. Marie didn't have much influence in court, but was very popular within it (she was nicknamed "Je charme Tout" – I charm all). Not much else I can find in a brief search, but she was witty, charming and attractive according to those around her.

History lesson aside, I remember Babycham was similar to that children's wine (a child's champagne). Advertisement involved a cartoon deer. That child's drink reminded me of that.

Also, the fact the door had been opened and the radio on would have been enough to concern me. Thankfully, nobody was about. However, it's always best to be prudent in those times and watch out for strangers.

Finally: 19:06 is that an Italian Chucky doll??

    Great exploration, as always.

  13. Its a shame to see these lovely houses abandoned…can the State not force them to be sold and occupied..so many looking for a home nowadays.

  14. Another beautiful vlogs from you guys – so interesting to know things about how life was before 😮😮😮😮😮🎉🎉🎉🎉

  15. Very beautiful, I really love this channel. The presentation and short visuals are truly aesthetic. It feels like I'm on a tour through history. Greetings from Indonesia.

  16. If they don't want it I'll move in. And beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I personally think the Mona Lisa is ugly as hell, but not most.
