PLEASE REMEMBER:
We make vlogs, not travel guides. We don’t film everything we see or do. Our videos cannot tell every story or show every place we visit. Our videos are merely a short snippet of sometimes a week’s worth of life on the road and it’s intended to show our experience as full-time travelers. As we’re constantly on the move it’s also not always possible to take the time to research every single location. We really appreciate it when people offer us advice or make suggestions for our next visit. Please don’t make assumptions or be rude. To us or to each other.

  2. At the start of all your videos I’m sure you used to say “we are a South African/Italian couple”. I struggled to work out which one of you was which. But you now say just “South African couple”. What changed? Love the vids btw 👍

  3. Hi guys, greetings from wet cold Eire, great to see ye making a start, looks lovely there in the sunshine, a bit of work every day and soon its a home, the land is much greener than i thought it would be for southern Italy, looks a bit like Ireland without all the rain !,what a perfect piece of land with the house, and with the trees too, keep the videos coming, great to watch the progress,

  4. Very very nice video❤ A lot more free than your "normally" organized storytelling. Refreshing.😊
I just want to drive down and help you guys.
I mean – come on – who from the North wouldn't want to have a morning coffee in those surroundings an 18 degrees!!
But as you said – take it easy and enjoy the process.😊😊

  5. 18:20 You guys mention that there is water coming down the walls?
As is often the case with older concrete flat roofed casa, is that over time the tanking degrades under the roof tiles there by letting in moisture. I've seen a few DIY Youtubers having to tackle this very same problem. They end up having to pull up all the roof tiles and grinding back to the concrete including up the sides and re Tanking with quality modern products before replacing the tiles. You only have a small roof but is worth while over time. Patching things will only add to frustration or only be a temporary fix.
Tanking would be like the same treatment for a swimming pool
    cheers from a builder.

  6. Rural house needs time and patience to be fixed. But once everything is ok you 'll enjoy nights under the stars. I had trulli many years ago,lot of stress but in the summertime very nice days I spent there. The happyness to take your own fruits from the trees is huge.

  7. Lovely video. Plenty of time to do everything. What a different but exciting adventure. Really pleased the water pump worked.

  8. It's a long way to Italy from Ringkøbing, I have a brushcutter and a garden tractor and a hedge trimmer that we don't use anymore. Congratulations on your new house 👍🏻👏 regards Allan

  9. I love the background music folks. I really like the property, the entrance, the outside space, the roof terrace and the inside. It was funny watching you put the wardrobe together, it was liking doing a jigsaw puzzle without the instructions.
    Enjoy.

  10. It all looks really good. Potential is great and you do have time on your hands, so no need to look at the end picture now. Nice slow and steady does the job. As I said before, you will do the job, turn around, look behind you at the jobs you have done and the changes you made and that will be the bigest drive to keep on going. But there will be jobs (like those leaks) you will put a lots of effort into them and they will take a lots of energy from you and they will be extreemly useful and important but after you have done it you will see nothnig visually when you turn around. They will work against your motivation. So always do some small jobs in paralel that will motivate you. And dont forget Milli.

  11. Sitting here in my office opposite the Pteronas Twin Towers in tropical Kuala Lumpur, thoroughly enjoyinh this video and trying to imagine the crisp Puglian late winter, early spring weather. See you in the next one!

  12. I just watched a Reno family buy 156 furniture and decor pieces from 5 auctions for just over 1000 euros! I hope you go mostly second hand!! Great job!

  13. Hi, we have been following you for a while and now we really had to respond. We are also a couple who have been driving around in a camper for a while and we also just bought a house in Italy. We can soooo relate to your adventures. We encounter the same challenges…albeit on a somewhat large scale. The house we bought has not been lived in for twenty years and was owned by a hoarder. We will continue to follow you with great pleasure…also out of our own interest :). Love, Jacob & Maggie.

  14. So… How many park-ups can you make out of the area to the right side of the gate when you drive in… asking for a friend… 😁

  15. Hello from upper. Texas gulf coast. South African and I can understand you clearly ! Woo Hoo ! Looking foreward to your videos.

  16. So nice! , Subscribed by this , as fellow YouTube travelers we follow our friends closely to discover such places and the advice they have. Thanks for sharing this with us ! 😊

  17. Enjoying watching this new stage of your life. I also watch Nicki Positano who vlogs about life in Positano and also renovating a Tuscan house and land. They have been able to buy lots of fabulous secondhand furniture very cheaply. It might be worth watching for tips – I know Tuscany is a long way from you but you never know what will be useful. Good luck in your endeavours!
