We make vlogs, not travel guides. We don’t film everything we see or do. Our videos cannot tell every story or show every place we visit. Our videos are merely a short snippet of sometimes a week’s worth of life on the road and it’s intended to show our experience as full-time travelers. As we’re constantly on the move it’s also not always possible to take the time to research every single location. We really appreciate it when people offer us advice or make suggestions for our next visit. Please don’t make assumptions or be rude. To us or to each other.

  1. Hey guys call congratulations on your new home! It has loads of potential and Lisa that roof deck is Devine! Best of luck with it's renovations ❤

  2. That tool you had in your hand with the double cones on the end, is for picking the figs with the spikes, the ones that grow all over your area ( fichi d’india ) 😊

  3. Congratulations on your new home! Very excited to see what you do with it and progress moving forward! A great adventure for sure! Your excitement is infectious! Subscribed of course!

  4. Concrete roofs were super common in Mexico as well . When mine started leaking it was like a game of whack a mole trying to find the source of the water.

  5. 2 mins in secure the perimeter & put up a fence😂 . If don’t intend to harvest the olives sometimes other farms will help you with the trees and and they will harvest the olives sometimes. You should get some olive oil in return 👍 You will appreciate the dark bedroom in the summer as it will be cooler with the hot temperatures. Good luck

  6. I’ve been watching these Italian Reno shows for several years…best advice, take your time. Start with small projects-it’s basically habitable-cleaning, turn on the water and electricity and you can move yourselves in, at least to sleep! DONT DO TOO MUCH AND RISK BURNOUT-keep some quality and joy in your lives!! Please, I beg you, don’t use the trulli as a shed—-small office? Tea room? Something special—-!

  7. Oh wow auguri guys Looks lovely! And yeah great potential ….how exciting🥰 I am sure
With time patience …and money… you will transform into a beautiful home ❤️

  8. Just found your page…….. this sounds like it could be good fun!! An Aussie Grandmother living vicariously

  9. I love Lisa's excitement.. theres a Gum boot …!!!oh look a rock…she so cute……she's adorable…I love your property its beautiful…need TLC…I'm sure you will make it all nice

  10. What a pity those diseased olive trees! You probably got a good price for the house just for that unproductive plants.

  11. It is actually in better condition than I initially thought it would be. The rooftop terrace is a great feature, the dry wall and the gate are very good, the spacious ground terrace, the balustrades all around, the trees, the outdoor kitchenette, the trullo is an amazing structure. Congratulations, enjoy it all!
Summers could be a challenge because of all the heat.

  12. Huge congrats guys! Long time since leaving a message but we have been enjoying all your videos as they drop. Great video here capturing the excitement for the reveal of the new property. Place looks perfect for you to both take time off between adventures with Millie. Looks like a bit of work to be done, but couldn't think of a more hard working resourceful couple to bring this place to life. Good luck and look forward to watching how this evolves for you both. Well done!

  13. New subie from SA. Lovely solid house great property.
Just one tip on the terrace roof. You have to seal the roof or put a separate roof on top. That was the only way we saved our house, when it rain softly, but hard rain we had the do sweaping otherwise it running down the walls. Congrats🎉

  14. Congrats on closing the deal! The view is wonderful, but I laughed when you commented about how small the kitchen is. You have been living in Millie and this kitchen is small??

  15. In South Italy was persistent till the modern age the problem of piartes from North Africa. They landed to stole everything was interesting and to take slaves. So people was not living in the lands but in protected little defended towns on top of hills. They went to work at morning by donkies on the land and at evening they came back to the town. So they erected only storages on the lands for heavy tools.

  16. Bidet is a law request in Italy for igienic and it is used to clean with water after pooping, or to wash feets. The bath is the first thing to renovate.

  17. Congratulations! It looks like awesome adventure. I know you have so much to do but please keep posting whenever possible. Can’t wait to see what you 2 are able to do with the right tools.😊
