This is obviously old, I watched this episode on TV when it first came out in like 2012, but it still makes me laugh. Gordon actually stepped in on a local restaurant that I took my date to for our homecoming dance back in like 1998, Levanti's Restaurant in Beaver, Pennsylvania, and it was HORRIBLE when he went, but I went back when they first opened, and other than the food being great back then, the lighting was HORRIBLE, and we couldn't even see each other, so I am surprised that they lasted as long as they did. Gordon relaunched it as American Bistro, but it lasted maybe a few months, and now it's Grandpa Joe's Candy Shop. It's truly sad. They sunk so much money and work into making American Bistro work, and it bombed immediately. If anyone has ever been to downtown Beaver, PA, you'll know that there is Pizza Joe's, Mario's Woodfired Pizza, and Philly Original's…there's just too much competition.
