  1. You guys are dragging me so hard for this video 😂 I guess people like to get really pedantic about opening wine bottles. So let me clarify. This video is just about how to simply use a wine key at home. Not how to use a wine key when opening a bottle at a three Michelin star restaurant for the president, not how professional Sommeliers open their wine and not proper technique for fine dining, I’ve never worked in fine dining because I was lucky enough to dodge that bullet in my career. I’ve seen a lot of people using a wine key badly, breaking corks and also forgoing the easiest way to get that dang bottle open and that’s what prompted this video 😂 and I don’t care what you say, those two armed wine openers are trash! That my friends is a hill I’ll die on. Anyway take what you will from the video. Open wine however you want, but here’s one good way and for those of you out there who are going to mention it…I DID CUT THE FOIL BELOW THE LIP OF THE BOTTLE!!!
    Thanks. Rant over.

  2. He didn’t even open it properly. This is not how you open a wine bottle at a restaurant.

  3. My problem doesn’t seem to have a solution on the internet, I’m working in a restaurant as a bartender and I’m curious how to take out an old cork that is very dry and easily breaks, your tutorial isn’t useful as you’re very forceful at ripping out the cork, every time I come across an old bottle of wine, I seem to break the cork in half no matter how gentle/slow I go, it’s making me feel insecure in my ability as a bartender so maybe my problem is anxiety and technique. Either way, you’re too rough at taking the cork out and the cork from your bottle of wine is in perfect condition without any dryness

  4. I have this actual device and I still struggled last night because I didn’t know how to use it. Thank You !

  5. These basic wine keys are a million times easier and also more satisfying than the fancy contraptions.

  6. In etiquette from what i learned working in the restaurant business, you dont pop the bouchon when opening the bottle you dont want to make a sound and the first step where you remove the foil you beed to go under the tip to make sure it won’t hurt anyone while pouring/holding the bottle

  7. This is awful!!!
You do not spin the bottle,
The label should face the guest at all time.
And you should NEVER hear the cork popped.
I appreciate you taking time to make a video but dude you have to learn the proper steps

  8. My goodness no. Cut the foil straight and properly locate the point of the corkscrew in the centre of the cork before screwing it in.
