You aren’t barbecuing!! You are grilling!! You’re having a cookout!! To MAKE bbq, you need a smoker!! That’s a grill! I swear, it’s like nails on a chalkboard whenever I hear a European say barbecue!! lol
My thing isn’t, why a holiday, my thing is when people who live in places like Positano or LA and wanna go to Florida or something! You LIVE at the beach!! Why would you wanna vacation… at the BEACH???!! To me, it’s like winning a pie eating contest and the prize is more pie!! lol I’m not judging (well I guess I kinda am lol). But for me, I would want to go somewhere like the mountains in your case or an interesting city (I realize you live up a mountain but it somehow doesn’t feel like it)

I'm impressed with hiking with those drop offs! I backpacked into the Grand Canyon with friends. It was bad for people with height issues like me, but did it. However, your hike would freak me out…almost no edge relief!

Those look like Oyster Mushrooms, Chicken of the Wood are usually more yellow but also more thick and kind of like a wrinkled pancake.

Just a little trick to know if your food has defrosted and froze again or not. Freeze a glass of water and put a quarter on top. If the fridge thaws and freezes again the quarter will be on the bottom of the glass.
Wouldn't it be better and safer to just stay home?
Carlo, I just watched the old video of you and Nicki getting the new kitchen delivered and installed in Positano. You fight with your carello at every step. The length of its track is not long enough to reach the next step before leaving the last one. You know this. Can you obtain longer track carello? Adoro i diari, grazie mille!
My Mum didn't to see this last episode. But after a 2 day stay in hospital, she came home sunday & I played it for her Monday morning on the TV.
She passed Monday afternoon.

If you have a chest freezer, it acts like a vacuum. Don’t open it unless you are going to eat straight away. Can last for weeks.

It’s always good to have a vacation trip on the horizon! I spent a week in Key West, Florida in December and a week in Oahu, Hawai’i this month…different than my California home because there were OCEANS! 🥰
